Football Picks for NFL and NCAA

Boy oh boy it has been a tough couple of weeks for good ole Lucky Lester. Since signing up with Who 2 Bet On my free picks sure seem to have taken a hit, record wise. However, when you combine my free picks with my paid picks, for both the NFL and NCAA, my over all record is good.

I have sat back and taken a long hard look at my system and with a thought towards turning things around for my free football picks, I have made a few adjustments and should be on a winning streak once again.

For my free college picks I have done my usual 5 games and have posted them for you all to use. For those of you who follow college footy check out my free picks for week 8.

With a slightly better record my free NFL picks I have uploaded my picks for week 7 and have 7 games to choose from so check it out.

In fantasy football Papa Weimer has added his latest Tear Jerker take and will be posting his weekly Ask Papa Weimer later tonight so come back and see how the Fantasy Football Know it All handles the tough questions.

Last Week in Football

Dudes - did I ever have a shitty week in NFL and NCAA football. In spite of that I have stepped up to take my lumps by posting the reviews of my free picks. Sorry guys but for my Elite picks you are going to have to buy those.

Sure I went 4 - 3 in my NFL free picks but it could have been so much better. There were a couple of games that really screwed my over in my picks but hey - that's the way it goes. To get the ful details read my week 5 NFL free picks review.

For my college football free picks I had a horrible week as I went 0 - 5 in week6. My pay picks for week 6 NCAA footy was considerably better as I went 4 - 1. But once again for my Elite picks I don't post reviews on my site but for my free picks you can read my week 6 NCAA football picks review.

Football Picks and Fantasy Football Advice

It was a pretty crazy week for Lucky Lester last week. My NCAAF picks for week 4 were so-so as my picks were good for 3-2 equaling about 60%. Yes it is a winning record but for those of you who are my regular readers, I strive for a better record. As usual I post my reviews – win or lose.

In the NFL I had an even worse record going 3-5-1 in week 3. Trust me this does not make me happy and I am not going to blame it on anything other than the cruel hand of fate. Teams that should have won didn’t as there were more than a few bad bounces and how about those stinking pushes? I prefer writing my reviews for winning weeks but I take my lumps too.

My week 5 NCAAF picks are ready and I am hoping for a much stronger showing this week. On an up side - one of my colleagues is having an amazing college football season as he is over 70% accurate with his picks. He doesn’t give them away so if you ever paid for sports picks you should check out Mike Roses’ NCAAF picks as he could make you some killer cash.

For my week 4 NFL picks I am putting up 7 free picks and 7 premium picks. I know my record for last week wasn’t so hot but the ones I mentioned above only took my free picks into consideration, my paid picks record is kept somewhere else.

My fantasy football section continues to grow with another installment from Papa Weimer and his Tear Jerker articles. He will also be adding another “Ask Papa Weimer” question and answer session in time for this weekends games. I have done my FF week 3 theRUNDOWN review and my week 4 FF theRUNDOWN has been posted.

Cool title eh?

Busy, busy week for your old football buddy Lucky Lester. Lots going on in football and thankfully Papa Weimer is lending a hand with the Fantasy stuff with his weekly Ask Papa Weimer Q&A and his help with theRUNDOWN, my weekly fantasy football stuff. Papa even put together his week 2 tear jerkers.

Had another great week in the NCAA and I have added my week 3 NCAA picks review. I went 3-2 with my free picks and 3-1-1 with my pay picks bringing my total for the past two weeks of 7-2-1.

I didn't do so good in week 2 of the NFL free picks going 4-5-1 bringing my 2 week total for the NFL 9-8-2. I have uploaded my week 2 free NFL picks review for those of you who are interested.

NCAA & NFL Picks Weekly Reviews

Yo Yo Yo - Lucky Lester here giving you all a shout out about my weekly football picks reviews.

In the NCAA for week 2 I wasn't quite as good as I was in week 1 with my free picks. What can I tell you, this is not a science. On the up side, my paid picks pagkage for college football was huge as I went 4 - 1, hats off to those of you who bought my picks last week.

In week 1 of the NFL for my free picks I did a little better than I did for college footie. My free picks I went 5 - 3 - 1 and you should check out my NFL week 1 review cause mmmmm - mmmmm it sure do be good reading!

This year I am keeping track of how my picks are doing over at the Ultimate Handicapping Challenge for those of you who are interested in 3rd party tracking.

Free Football Picks for the NFL and NCAA

Lucky Lester here to let everybody know that there has been a lot of new picks added to the site over the past few days.

Last week's free college football picks netted a 4-1 record and a hearty congrats to those of you who won some mullah off of my picks.

My week 2 free NCAA picks are up and I am hoping to better last week's record. Let me know how you all make out, if you win tell me about it and if you lose - well let me have it.

The first game in 2007 NFL season starts tonight and I have finished my week 1 NFL picks and have uploaded them to the site. As usual I don't just list my picks but I also do sizeable write ups detailing why I think these teams should beat the spreads or why they wont.

Can you believe it is football time again, was that ever a fast summer, was it as fast for you?

Again this year I will be offering my free picks for college football as well as the NFL. It has been a busy summer as I have entered into agreements to write for a few sites other than my own. For example I have a couple of articles over at fftoday.com and I am writing for Belmont.com and it should be a great football season.

Will this football season never start? I know – I know, the season will start soon enough but man I just can’t wait. I’ve worked on many various things to keep myself occupied while I wait on the season but it just ain’t the same. Recently I got into some discussions with my uncle regarding fantasy football and the old guy seemed to know quite a bit. After a few nips of courage the old guy asked if he could do a question/answer section on the site so I said sure.

It worked out so well the first week or so we decided to let it run its course. Now we have a whole slew of new question and answers for you all so if Fantasy Football is your thing then you should check it out. Football is just around the corner… too bad I am no where near that corner! Just kidding. To help while away the time before the sweet science begins I thought I would once again jump in with some Fantasy Football Draft Picks for all the rounds. So far I have rounds 1 and round 2 uploaded to the site and if you are into fantasy football you should definitely check them out.

Online Poker for US Players

Lucky Lester here to talk about something other than football for a change. I don’t know about you guys but during the off season I often find myself looking for other things to fill in the hours. Yes, there is hockey, basketball and baseball but aside from hockey, I find the other two about as exciting as watching golf or millionaires driving fancy cars in circles!

This off season from football I thought I would check out the popular world of poker. As someone who can’t travel to Las Vegas very often I thought I would give the online version a try but how does one figure out which online poker room to try?

After last fall’s changes to the laws regarding banks allowing funding from their businesses to online gambling establishments it has become a little easier to make a choice. You see a lot of established online gambling sites, especially the publicly traded ones, decided to close down their sites to American players. Shame that, as the public companies seemed to be a little more reliable in terms of payouts and customer services.

For some of the reliable, dependable gambling sites it was more of a case where the established poker platform providers pulled their services leaving the sites and their membership without poker software to play on. Well after a few months the dust has settled once again and sites like http://www.belmont.com/ that lost their 2 separate poker platforms were back with new poker rooms.

The best part about Belmont Poker is that they will continue to take American players. I tried their software and having liked it I went a little further and tried to make a deposit off of my credit card and I had no problems whatsoever.

For me, aside from trying out the software I wanted to see how hard it would be to try and win a seat at the 2007 WSOP. While I was looking around I also noticed that they had another great promotion going on that promises to send the winner up into space - that’s right… a trip into outer space! Ya – I think I’ll be registering for that promotion.

For those of you who are looking for a new place to play poker online I would suggest checking out the Belmont Poker Room – you never know you may find the experience to be out of this world!

Linking on the World Wide Weeb

These days there seems to be a lot of talk regarding the buying of links and posting them on your website or blogs. As far as ways to make money online goes text link advertising seems like it is one of the easier ways to do it. The bottom line here is this, without linking the Internet wouldn’t exist regardless of whether or not those links are paid for or not.

Updated 2007 NFL Mock Draft

Well we can certainly see the danger when posting you draft picks too far in advance. I had several people write to me to complain that I had not gotten the draft order right. While that was true a month after I posted the mock draft, it wasn't the case when I posted it.

Given the fact that the draft order had changed I felt it would be best if I were to update my mock draft. Updated 2007 NFL Mock Draft and for those of you who like to make comparisions I have left my old 2007 NFL Mock Draft up as well.

Hey everybody Lucky Lester here giving you all a shout out about my newly posted 2007 NFL Mock Draft. It seems everybody is posting their mock drafts a little early this year so good ole LL is doing the same. Not only do I list all 32 predicted draft picks but I also go into why the teams need to pick these players.

It doesn't matter if you agree with me or not at least I gots me an opinion on these draft choices. If you think I am dead wrong on any of these choices why not engage me for some heated dialogue on the subject in my forum where I am prepared to defend my predictions.

Free College Football Picks - Week 9

Hey everybody Lucky Lester here giving you all a shout out to let you know that my Free NCAA Football Picks are ready for week 9. I know I haven't been posting to the blog lately to let you know when the weekly picks are ready for college and NFL games but hey... I've been busy working on those picks.

Well not only that but I have been following all that American anti gambling bullshit. As a Canadian those laws don't really affect me and I really can't do anything about those laws even if they did afect me. However, if you are an American and you enjoy betting on football games then you need to let your government know how you feel on the subject this November during the mid term elections. It is the republicans who are stripping away your rights and if you want that to stop before it gets worse for you my American cousins, you better put some democrats in the seats of power.

Internet Gambling Legislation

Hey everybody Lucky Lester here. I came across this article on this sports betting site Belmont.com about how online poker might not be considered illegal according under the new legistlation that was tacked onto the Port Bill.

Now as a person who doesn't atually place wagers online (or anywhere for that matter) I really can not say one way or the other but if you give it a read I am certain that you will be able to make up your mind for yourself on whether or not this affects you and your personal freedoms.

NFL & NCAA Football Picks for this week

Hey everybody Lucky Lester here to tell you that my free football picks are up for NFL week 5 and College Football for week 6. As usual you can read my reviews of how I did last week at the site too.

Last week in NCAA football I went 8 - 2 against the spread and of the two games I lost on well... I failed to cover the spread by 1 point each. When picking against the spread a loss is a loss and I'll take them but it hurts soo bad!

On the other hand, last week in the NFL it was all bad. In fact it was so bad I don't even want to talk about it in the blog. To see how bad it truly was you are going to have to go to the site and read up on it.
