As the calendar year turned, fear that the global financial system was heading off a cliff brought South Florida’s luxury home market – largely dependent on foreign wealth – to a standstill. Brokers and some analysts are sensing a collective, if tentative, sigh of relief among the very wealthy, as evidenced by the recent uptick in luxury home sales. type='text'>Are REITs a Key to Real Estate Recovery?</title><content type='html'>NEW YORK – June 24, 2009 – Fortune magazine says that blue-chip REITs offer a reasonably conservative opportunity for individual investors to profit from the coming real estate rebound.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Boston Properties (BXP), Regency Centers (REG), Simon Property Group (SPG), and Vornado Realty Trust (VNO) appear to be among the strongest, the magazine says.Philip Martin, a senior vice president of Golub &amp;amp; Co., a real estate investment and development firm, thinks there isn’t an oversupply of commercial properties.“So when we do recover, you are likely to see a pretty healthy snap-back in real estate prices,” he says. “This is an excellent environment for those REITs with the right combination of knowledge and capital. Inventory is decreasing and sales have seen a continued upward trend, could Naples be seeing the first signs of a positive market?&lt;br /&gt;The available inventory decreased 10 percent to 10,046 in May compared to 11,175 in May 2008, NABOR reported. It was originally listed at $9,850,000 but their were building constraints on the land.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The president of the Naples Area Board of Realtors said the pricing on beachfront &lt;a href="http://www.agnaples.com/"&gt; &lt;/a&gt;lots in Naples has strengthened this year. Bake in 325 degree oven for 1 hour. They will soon be replaced by another type of tree, but a few of them will be saved and moved to a new location near the front of the building. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In its native habitat, screw pine, with its many aerial prop roots, is sometimes used for erosion control and to bind sand dunes. The long strap shaped leaves of screw pine are, to this day, used to make mats, baskets and thatched roofs. The fruits are edible. The male plants produce fragrant colorful flowers in long spikes. In the spirit of the day, we did a little checking about the history of Independence Day.&lt;br /&gt;- The original resolution to cut the apron strings from Mother Britain was introduced to the Continental Congress on June 17, 1776.&lt;br /&gt;- Then Thomas Jefferson and a willing committee put their heads together to polish up a formal writing for the grand announcement.&lt;br /&gt;- The actual resolution was approved on July 2 but the Declaration of Independence (a separate document) was adopted on July 4, 1776.&lt;br /&gt;- It took days, weeks, and in one case, years before all the signatures on the Declaration were in place. Thomas &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;McKean&lt;/span&gt; didn't get his signature on the page until 1781!&lt;br /&gt;- Exactly one year after the Declaration was approved, Philadelphia held a huge birthday party for the infant republic. But the first official (by legislative act) celebration was held in 1781 in Massachusetts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Eat, drink, and be merry! Reservations are accepted, but not necessary.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Naples location is the chain's 12th location in Florida, which includes one each in Fort Myers and Bonita Springs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bonefish Grill joins Olio restaurant, which opened in February in Naples Bay Resort, just one week after the development’s hotel opened its doors.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Olio, created by the resort’s developer Antaramian Development Group, overlooks Naples Bay and offers a menu inspired by fresh Italian food and California’s wine country.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Naples Bay Resort property along U.S. 41 East just past the Gordon River includes an 85-room hotel, 30 larger residences, a 97-slip marina and 25,000 square feet of retail space for shops and restaurants. "We do have an incredibly deep arts community, 76 galleries and 500 resident artist and musicians," she said. Anyone who looks at the council's monthly calendar, (online at www.collierarts.com) will get an idea of just how much happens daily in the arts here. Hamilton added: "It's phenomenal, the stuff going on."That rich array is what caused independent theatre founder and director Donato Colucci to put down roots three months ago to grow a classics-oriented theater company here. Colucci said he hadn't heard of Naples as an arts desitnation but " as a vacation and snowbird place." At least that was his impression before he came down to visit his son last year."As soon as I got here, I opened up the paper and saw all these festivals going on. And I said, "what's going on here?" he recalled.
