As a councilmember who participated in the process of hiring the current city manager and can speak with complete knowledge of what occurred, I say without hesitation -- the information supposedly reported in a local weekly (I haven't seen it for myself) about other applicants turning the job down before it was offered to Mitchell Johnson is absolutely 100% wrong.
