One of my husband's friends is getting married soon. Due to the bad economy she is unable to buy her wedding dress. We would like to collect donations so that she can get the dress shown below. She only needs $150 for the dress. UPDATE: THANK YOU TO THOSE THAT HAVE CHOSEN TO DONATE.... SHE NOW NEEDS $120.00!

Very disappointed and upset

I wanted to let my readers know that may be wondering about an update on my interview last week.

I received a letter this week stating that I did not have enough experience for the job. (most likely because I have no recent experience not necessarily not enough experience)

The part that really made me very disappointed and upset was that the letter and the envelope were dated the same day as the interview. I would have preferred to be told right then and there that I did not get the job. Rather than being told that I should hear by Wednesday whether or not I got the job. (I hate getting my hopes up only to be shot down.)

Please pray that something else presents itself!

A quick note.... Please do not think I am preaching... I found this interesting and wanted to share.

THE (SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUS
At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to the death penalty.
At the time crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst criminals condemned to be crucified. Yet it was even more dreadful for Jesus, unlike other criminals condemned to death by crucifixion Jesus was to be nailed to the cross by His hands and feet.

The nails were driven into His wrist. Not into His palms as is commonly portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that extends to the shoulder.The Roman guards knew that when the nails were being hammered into the wrist that tendon would tear and break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support himself so that He could breath.

Both of His feet were nailed together. Thus He was forced to support Himself on the single nail that impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could not support himself with His legs because of the pain so He was forced to alternate between arching His back then using his legs just to continue to breath. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the suffering, the courage.

Jesus endured this reality for over 3 hours. Yes, over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind of suffering? A few minutes before He died, Jesus stopped bleeding. He was simply pouring water from his wounds. From common images we see wounds to His hands and feet and even the spear wound to His side.

But do we realize His wounds were actually made in his body. A hammer driving large nails through the wrist, the feet overlapped and an even large nail hammered through the arches, then a Roman guard piercing His side with a spear.

But before the nails and the spear Jesus was whipped and beaten. The whipping was so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. The beating so horrific that His face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The crown of thorns cut deeply into His scalp. Most men would not have survived this torture.

He had no more blood to bleed out, only water poured from His wounds.The human adult body contains about 3.5 litres (just less than a gallon) of blood.

Jesus poured all 3.5 liters of his blood; He had three nails hammered into his members; a crown of thorns on his head and, beyond that, a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into his chest.

All these without mentioning the humiliation He passed after carrying his own cross for almost 2 kilometers, while the crowd spat in his face and threw stones (the cross was almost 30 kg of weight, only for its higher part, where his hands were nailed)

Jesus had to endure this experience, so that you can have free access to God. So that your sins could be "washed" away. All of them, with no exception! Don't ignore this situation. JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOU! For you, who now read this e-mail. Do not believe that He only died for others (those who go to church or for pastors, bishops, etc).

He died for you! It is easy to pass jokes or foolish photos by e-mail, but when it comes to God, sometimes you feel ashamed to forward to others because you are worried of what they may think about you.

Accept the reality, the truth that JESUS IS THE ONLY SALVATION FOR THE WORLD.

God has plans for you, show all your friends what He experienced to save you. Now think about this! May God bless your life!

Yes, I love God. He is my source of life and my Savior. He keeps me alive day and night.

Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me". Philippians 4:13.

This is the simple proof. If you love God and you believe and trust in salvation through Christ Jesus, send this to all those you love.

Thank you so much for the support and prayers.
I have been able to stay online.
Although, I have been very quiet.... much thanks to God and a few angels he sent our way.

Although, the house issue is still in limbo and we are still hoping to find resolution soon.
All the utilities are caught up and put on special plans to make paying the bills easier.

I do need to request prayers... I had my first job interview in 5 months yesterday.
I am so excited and wanting them to call me and tell me I am hired.
So please pray for me to get that great call by Wednesday.
Getting this job will make life so much easier for me and my family to get all the other bills that have been put off paid....

Hoping also to be able to get my driving lessons over so that I can get my license.
Would love to be able to get a basic vehicle in good condition once I get work so that getting places will be so much easier.

Again thank you for the support and prayers....

This is to inform you that I may have to go offline for a while.
(I have let all my groups know I have unsubscribed to my groups on yahoo so please if by chance the message did not get through before I unsubbed and you know I was in a group... let others know)

Things are getting very desperate here....
I am having tons of issues finding work which is causing hubby to think I am not even looking for a job. (he sees people getting jobs right after losing one - some within minutes) I am looking for any kind of work - fast food, restaurant, daycare, schools, office work.... anything but selling because I cannot even sell my mom a peanut.

Struggling to keep house... was doing a modification and that was taking forever and they seemed to be playing games. SO we tried going with NACA and are beginning to think that they are playing games as well. We are in fear that losing the house is inevitable. We really have no place to go with 4 kids.

Struggling to keep mandatory bills paid (utilities) and keep a van that is on it's very last legs running so hubby can continue to keep his job. (van needs more repairs than it is worth)

We really need your prayers as it is starting to effect the kids and I usually do not like them knowing how bad things are.... I have given this to God and have faith that he is in control. I am just really finding out not going back to my worrisome ways very difficult. (I am a born worrier)

You all are very loved by me and your encouragement to keep stitching is appreciated as always.
I do not know if I will be able to stitch much as stress is way to high to concentrate.

I hope to be able to come back to this blog on occasion and eventually some time in the future be able to return to regular blogging as well as stitching.

For now I will say... Good bye... you are loved and not forgotten.

This gift I thought would be a great gift for my daughter on her 16th birthday.

I told her that her gift was a surprise and she had to go to school and find it. She was floored that I left her gift at school and was scared someone would take it. I had to reassure her no one would take it from her.

After it was arranged I was scared that she would hate it and be mad.

To my pleasant surprise she LOVED it!

When she called me to tell me she found it and loved it....

I just had to tell her that should her name never be in lights when she becomes an adult.... remember it has already been in lights and was placed there with love.
