Photoshoot

Its been a couple days since I wrote so here is a quick update.
I just finished the photoshoot for Craig Anthony Collection. We had alot of fun and Shelley was a real trooper organizing and helping me setup shots. She even took a few that made the final cut. I knew she had a great eye (well of course she does she’s going to marry me, right). The photoshoot was hot and I mean hot it was like 90 degrees out. I mean its October, we are shooting the fall line and I have models in jackets in scarves. They all took one for the team that day. So now 400 pictures to drop down to about 20-30, then processing, editing and once again rebuilding the website.

I have 2 new clients in the works too.

Blogging for small business

Since I have been maintaining multiple blogs these days. Keeping quite busy with work and other websites. What I have realized is the use of Blogging for small businesses as a very powerful communication tool. So I am working on building a business plan to add this to my services. Cleveland is a very diverse community and small business opportunities are definately growing. The problem is most small businesses have limited resources and or budget to develop websites and advertising. Side3online focuses on small businesses and personal sites. Busy, Busy Busy.., Ok I need 4 more hours in the day

Wow, lately it seems I am so busy. I am sitting here writing this while Shelley is crocheting or knitting. I never remember which is which. But I know she's incredibly talented at it. Well, aside from getting ready for sales meeting next week. I am still working on developing our new product CD (hoping to launch that by Nov.1st), keeping the website fresh, expanding content and I've spent the last few days working on search engine placements. Then I come home... Built and launched a special page for a trade show. I redesigned shop.craiganthonycollection.com, did some more search engine work for his site and then continued my experiments with optimization.
Shelley got home we had a nice dinner and then I checked my analytics on my sites and wrote this blog then I am off to my other blog. Its nice that Shelley has her hobbies or she would probably kill me for working all the time. But, I just lean forward in my chair and look into the bedroom and she feels me staring. She smiles and I know its all good.
I may have some more client sites to work on and I have to do a model photoshoot this weekend. And oh did I mention? I do photography as well..

Optimizing websites SEO experiment day two

OK, so last night I spent quite some time reading about new techniques to optimizize my search engine placement, increase my blog readership and many other things. Here's the deal, so far nothing. Well I shouldn't say that. The sites that I spent no time on actually are outperforming the ones that I concentrated on so far. Yeah, I know it sounds strange and tonight I will probably try and figure out what I did right. I have to do some more work on one of the e-commerce websites I built. Trying to see what I can do to increase traffic over there and make some changes to site itself. I know I mentioned that I wasn't going to blog here anymore but I decided that I wanted to keep one blog geared more toward work and the other will be a mix of work and personal since Shelley and I will both be blogging on the other site. I am going to be very busy working on both but perhaps I can make a career out of blogging as well. Who knows maybe I will maintain even more blogs. Lets start with two for now and see where it takes me.

Going forward my new blog will be at www.side3online.com . I just thought it was easier since I have the hosting accounts. On the new site I will be discussing Photography, Web design, and my other consulting services. Plus!!! Shelley will be talking about her hobbies as well. I wanted a place for the two of us to update our friends on what was going on in our lives. The Blogging beats having to maintain multiple myspace accounts and hopefully keeps the riff raff out. I have also setup an online shopping site at the new space. Check it out, say you stopped by and buy the T-shirt. LOL (I can't believe I just LOL'd)
