It is a wreck and I had to travel a long ways to get it, but it has a lot of good parts on it. Listed it on Craigslist tonight under 1972 Dodge Challenger. Trying to sell it whole but will probably end up parting it out. It is a bad sign when the bump stop for the rear end is going through the frame rail.Tallzaghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15614360783571698886noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10888150.post-9844794435846623362007-05-31T22:45:00.000-07:002007-05-31T23:05:37.638-07:00Seattle Mopars Unlimited All-Mopar Spring RoundupOn Sunday June 3rd, 2007 the Seattle Mopars Unlimited are having our annual show at the XXX Drive In in Issaquah, WA. It is a 1977 Dodge Royal Monaco with a 440 HP engine. It is of course a real police package car that served with the Pierce County Sheriff's Office. The two pictures are before and after shots, one after I got it home after sitting under a tree for several years, one after it got a pressure washer bath.Interesting story behind the car...We bought it Tallzaghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15614360783571698886noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10888150.post-37423499800865638842007-05-22T15:58:00.000-07:002007-05-22T16:01:17.982-07:00Starting Up AgainI stopped blogging for a while since we opened up our new website (www.tallzag.com). Had a friend tell me about these two and he very generiously let me have a crack at them. One is a 1969 Plymouth Valiant 100 two door post and is a total strippy. Only options it has are a remote mirror, AM Radio, and 3 speed wipers. It is blue and a leaning tower of power for motivation. It also has nice faded paint Tallzaghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15614360783571698886noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10888150.post-1163958221902880762006-11-19T09:30:00.000-08:002006-11-19T09:43:41.916-08:00Some Press for TallzagWe just got a feature in Entrepreneur Magazine! We just got in a load of 1990 and up Mopar Parts Books and have been listing them this week. Went to an auction in Puyallup on Saturday and had a good time. The gentleman who passed away worked on cars since the 20's, guess a repair business was in his family for a long time. A lot of really cool old stuff was at the auction, here is the brochure:Mather Auction BrochureI ended up getting a box of old factory service manuals, aTallzaghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15614360783571698886noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10888150.post-1158698977041492742006-09-19T13:40:00.000-07:002006-09-19T14:07:17.970-07:00Ugly ImperialHad a friend who just wanted to get rid of this 1962 Imperial Crown and of course I took it. Once it got here I am not sure why I did. I've seen a lot of battered and beaten cars in my lifetime but this one might take the cake. It sat on it's belly in the mud for at least 20 years, maybe more. Every panel is rusty, including the frame rails and all the glass is broken out of it. A little extra cash never hurt anyone, especially me. The downside to this was I was scheduled for three meetings in three days this week; all on the south end of Seattle. I live about even from Seattle and my shop is 25 minutes to the north of Seattle, not a good combo. So, basically the shop was Tallzaghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15614360783571698886noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10888150.post-1157659035946715712006-09-07T12:55:00.000-07:002006-09-07T12:57:15.956-07:00Wedding SeasonI have gone to a ton of weddings in the last month, going to another one this weekend at Lake Chelan in Eastern Washington, so will "out of the office" all weekend. These are the pieces that go into your water pump housing that connect your heater hoses to it and send coolant to your heater box. These have been very popular but the Small Block nipples have not been available. That all changed this week, we are proud to announce we are now selling the 1964-1978 Mopar Small Block Tallzaghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15614360783571698886noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10888150.post-1157609417037510452006-09-06T22:34:00.000-07:002006-09-06T23:10:17.076-07:00Car Club MeetingsOne thing I really enjoy doing is going to car club meetings. I am a member of two clubs, The Seattle Mopars Unlimited Slub of Seattle, WA and the Northwest Chapter of Mopars Unlimited based in Burlington, WA. The Seattle Club's meeting is the last Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM at Alfy's Pizza in Lynnwood, WA and the Northwest's Meeting is the first Wednesday of every month at 7 PM at Tallzaghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15614360783571698886noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10888150.post-1157583469400104202006-09-06T15:55:00.000-07:002006-09-06T15:57:49.413-07:00Washington in AugustBeen doing some random work for my previous employer and one of the advantages is I get to travel around Washington a bit. Was in Oak Harbor, Wa yesterday and went back through Deception Pass, going from Whidbey Island back to the Main Land. I took this picture while stopped at the park, just a perfect day.Tallzaghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15614360783571698886noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10888150.post-1157341788411480412006-09-03T20:39:00.000-07:002006-09-03T20:49:48.413-07:00Kasey Kahne Sprint CarsWent to a special event on Wednesday the 30th last week. It was an event at the Skagit Speedway put on by the Kasey Kahne Foundation. The event featured a Sprint Car Race with Kahne and fellow Nascar driver Tony Stewart in the race. They sold 8,000 tickets for the event and sold it out. It was a very fun event to go to, it is not everyday you see current Nascar drivers on a track such as Tallzaghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15614360783571698886noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10888150.post-1157341191124794092006-09-03T19:59:00.000-07:002006-09-03T20:39:51.190-07:00Tacoma Sunbust ShowLast Sunday I went to the Tacoma Sunbust show and swap meeted. You could not ask for a better day, it was 80 degrees without a cloud in the sky. Car count was awesome, somewhere around 300 cars, but the swap meet was a bit of a disappointment. Seemed smaller than last year and nobody was buying. I brought about 50/50 new stuff vs used stuff and I think I sold a pair of door handles and that Tallzaghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15614360783571698886noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10888150.post-1157008955829748032006-08-31T00:09:00.000-07:002006-08-31T00:22:35.843-07:00More Pictures from the AuctionThis is a Lincoln I think, not sure the year:This is a 1956 Dodge Coronet Convertible that originally came with a Hemi Engine:This is also a 1956 Dodge Coronet that originally came with a Hemi Engine, but it is a two door post:Tallzaghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15614360783571698886noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10888150.post-1156899568512782412006-08-29T17:53:00.000-07:002006-08-29T17:59:28.523-07:00LeMay Show and AuctionThe main reason I went to the LeMay show was for the auction. They had mostly earlier stuff this year, like 30's and 40's, but they had a few diamonds in the rough. For some reason I did not get a picture of the car I bid on, a 1966 Chrysler Newport Convertible, but here are some highlights, will post a couple more tomorrow. This is a 40's Dodge 2 Ton Truck, really like these for some reason. For those who do not know Harold LeMay owned the largest private car collection in the world with something like over 4,000 cars in the collection of every color and breed imaginable. The legend goes that he sold three cars in his lifetime and be bought two of them back.
