The objective was to work with the Chairman, CEO and senior VPs to develop and implement their vision for the company.

Approach
The initial focus was to conduct a detailed strategic review to deliver the company’s vision to expand into multiple products and indications in the acute care field.

Following the success of the initial three month project, an extended two year contract was signed to cascade the strategic plan through the organization and to develop strategies and implementation plans for all business units and support functions; this included the development of clear metrics and actions plans. For each business unit a detailed marketing program was developed including Target Product Profiles, message and issue planning and prototyping of study reports and promotional materials for the major marketing initiatives in acute care and for the development of a new product. In total these programs represent an investment of over $80 million.

Result
The company achieved most of the objectives established under the strategy plan and was the target of several acquisition approaches.

BUSINESS STRATEGY REVIEW
Is your Business ready for the future?
Most companies are not ready for the next challenge and lose the opportunity to grow and gain a leader position. The reason is simple: companies are so busy in the day-to-day activities that they do not have time to spend in strategic evaluation. Investing time in a strategic analysis can be time consuming but rewarding. Our methodology is simple and can be done with few internal resources

Pharma Company Focused on Sustained Release Technology

Assignment
Developing the strategy for a recently acquired specialty pharmaceutical company.

Background
This company has been static for a number of years under the previous foreign owners. The leadership team were lacking motivation and unsure of how to move forward.

Approach
BKT Strategy worked extensively with the top management to develop and help implement a clear strategy for moving the business forward to a point where it can conduct an IPO.

Result
Following on from the strategy an action program has been established for all the key employees that is being monitored by the APIS system. Giving clarity to what the senior leadership team want to achieve coupled with aligning individual actions throughout the company has resulted in a rapid improvement in performance.

BUSINESS STRATEGY REVIEW
Is your Business ready for the future?
Most companies are not ready for the next challenge and lose the opportunity to grow and gain a leader position.
