Those on the left are fighting to the teeth to get this one passed, while those on the right are fighting just as hard to make sure it doesn’t happen. A lot of people have a lot to say about this topic, some statements very ignorant while others are very educated. I have heard them all…and well I knew how I felt from the get go.

For starters, allow me to say this much. I do not feel our current healthcare situation is beneficial to all parties within this country. However don’t take that to mean that I am a supporter of a Social Healthcare plan, because that is not the case. Social Healthcare equals big government. Big Government equals no control, and well, quite frankly I am a control freak.

There are other solutions to this problem. Solutions that don’t involve America copying a plan implemented by other countries worldwide, a plan that in my opinion has been put to the test and failed. Let’s not take the high road people. Let us put our heads together and come up with a solution that actually works in our favour and not in the favour of government control. We don’t want higher taxes and less choice. That just doesn’t make any sense.

I find it so funny that we live in a country that would be dubbed as free. A country that allows you to live as you want, as long as you are not out there killing people. Yet still Americans need to pay for that freedom. Ever hear of a sin tax? Do we really want more sin taxes? Not too long ago I got into a conversation with an individual about fast food in America. The individual stated that one of the issue’s with this country is that we allow our citizens to be unhealthy. He suggested that capitalism was to blame for allowing companies like Mc Donald’s and Burger King to sell fattening & unhealthy food to society. The freedom of the people to choose the way they want to live of course plays no part in their everyday choices. (Sarcasm WARNING) We instead should help walk them through the maze of life. Don’t leave it for them to choose. Well scratch that…we will leave it for them to choose (gives them a sense of freedom) but we will push them in a general direction with our taxes. Our sin taxes…

You want to smoke a cigarette? Well that will be an extra $500 a year in taxes. You want some fast food in your life? That will cost you a 20% tax on every meal you buy from a restaurant dubbed as a Fast Food joint. Do you see where I am going with this? Sooner than later you begin to pay for your so called “freedom”. That is the direction of Socialized anything. You want Free Healthcare, well don’t you find it ironic that Canadians gets free healthcare at the cost of a 55% income tax? Even though they are paying that money through taxes…not all of the health benefits are provided to them, as they still have to pay for vision and dental between certain ages. I don’t see anything free about the Canadian or European System that our government wants to take on but I understand 100% why some Americans are blindly running towards that system. It’s the easiest solution. Let the government work it out. They will figure it out for us. (its obvious that they know how to run a business...right?!) In our current system we have government run hospitals. In our current system we have a rule that makes it illegal for any hospital to turn down emergency care due to a lack of insurance. So don’t tell me America has people dying on the street and outside of hospitals. That is just ignorance. (Russell Brand) The American way may not be the best solution, but instead of taking the easy (and low) road, our government should be contemplating a plethora of options. I don’t want your Social Healthcare. I don’t mind paying for my own healthcare, but I am fully aware that not everyone can do that. I may not have all the answers but I have heard a couple other solutions out there that work twenty times better than the current solution our government is trying to lock down.

Allow me to throw one more suggestion out there. Incentive programmes. My current healthcare provider has flat rates for all those that are registered to their plan. Instead of charging more for being unhealthy though, what they do is give deductions for those that are actively working to stay healthy. Those individuals who are willing to do an annual physical and can show they are doing what is in their power to stay healthy receive a percentage off their annual healthcare costs. So by not smoking and eating healthy and constantly exercising I am not only going to live a healthier life, but I will also save some dollars. Incentives work better than taxes. The joy of a capitalistic society is the freedom of choice.

You can keep your social healthcare. I personally will stand up against it.

Regards,

Jahrootz

If it's normal, is it still considered wrong?

Dear Airbourne In-forums Readers,

This post is in response to a post I wanted to put on someone else’s blog. The post she wrote was about politics, which of course caught my interest. It touches on the corruption that can be expected when dealing with politicians. Visit her post “If it’s normal is it still considered wrong?”

Below is what I wanted to respond to here:

“You want feedback well here is mine.

You are asking if its okay for a politician to do what he knows is wrong...even if it's considered normal amongst his circle. A circle that was given power by the very people it pillages and robs. Ironic…yes, but is it right. No.

I am currently very heavy into US politics, and like everyone else I am full of opinions. As I am not a politician I would like to assume my opinions are not for my own personal gain but instead they would work towards the greater good of mankind, or at least those in America. Many people in my family were involved in politics (some still are) in Jamaica and I have seen no proof that they are/were corrupt (to be honest I wouldn’t admit either though)…so I will make the statement that not everyone in that “circle” is on the same path. Was Spencer weak? I think so. Are most politicians weak? Yes I would agree with that as well…it takes a strong individual not to be a sheep. TO move towards what they feel is the TRUE solution to the problem that is the people.

I myself have not moved into a heavy political scene in America because I am not yet ready for that challenge. You can be the strongest & bravest person in the world…but if you’re running against hurricane force winds, you need more than just your physical strength…you need the mental fortitude to outwit the snakes and become aerodynamic enough to make it past them to make your change.

This is just my two cents. Spencer was weak and may of gone in with a good cause in mind, but he was unable to escape the trap.”

Regards,

JahRootz

Global Warming and the Selfish Consumer

Dear Airbourne In-forums Readers,

I am often asked if I believe in Global Warming. Those who ask me usually hang off the edge of their seats as if the answer I am about to give will define my very stance on all things concerned with this matter. And they have every right to believe that, because it is true…my answer will define my stance. Here is the answer I always give them.

First I ask them out loud what global warming is. [That question is always rhetorical] I then follow up by telling them, that if by global warming they mean an increase in the earth’s atmospheric temperatures. My answer is yes. That is obviously going on around us. But, I also believe in global cooling. No, not the global cooling that Urban Dictionary calls the affects of the earth’s pollutions blocking the sun and forcing the earth to cool down, the global warming and global cooling I believe in are natural parts of the cycle of our planet. The same planet that has been around for over 4.5 billion years and gone through this cycle more times than in recorded history.

SO now that I have acknowledged Global Warming, the question that follows is; “Has pollution sped up the process?”

Well, I don’t know how fast the process takes place. I have never gone through the process before in my lifetime. Nor has anyone else who exists in my lifetime, or the lifetime before them. In fact the last recorded major climate change was something they called the “Little Ice Age” back in the 30’s. You know, back in the day before we had pollution like we have today. Before then there are three periods in the last 300 years where there is a record of major climate changes. Again, back in a period when pollution was not a factor in the formula. These recorded major climate changes are not proven to of been global however, which is understandable. Let’s fast forward to today.

I would like to now introduce Al Gore to all of you. The spokesperson for Global Warming who can only make assumptions as to what is going on right now in our lifetime. He has a few calculated facts that were presented to him and he ran with it. I don’t like the man, but I will agree with a few of his points. He is correct in saying our levels of pollution have greatly increased in the last 50 years. He is correct in saying we need to find alternative sources to remove our dependency on oil for transportation and everyday life.

Here is what his sheep never seem to think about though. What is the rate that the population on this earth is growing at? Let me throw some numbers at you. In the mid 1700’s there were about 791 million people in the earth [recorded]. That looks something like this; 791,000,000.

One hundred years later in the mid 1800’s we were looking at a number of about 1262 million people [again recorded]. That number looks something like this; 1,262,000,000. That is a difference of 471 million people in a hundred years.

Fast forward another hundred years and we land our self in the 1950’s, the time of the baby boomers [in America alone]. Now we see a number of 2,521,000,000. Getting even closer to the present we will look at President William Clintons last year in office. The number is now 5,978,000,000.

Today we are estimated to have over 6 billion people living on this planet. In less than 250 years we increase our population by over 5 billion people. Think about this. 5/6th of today’s population comes from a boom within in the last 250 years on a planet that is 4.5 billion years old. Now before you factor in technology, why don’t you factor in the creation of Co2 from 6 billion people? Let’s also factor in that we had to create the space for that boom in the population. So there goes a whole bunch of tree’s that consumed Co2 and produced Oxygen, so that we could create space to live.

Let me tell you what I think. Yes, the process called Global Warming/Cooling might have sped up. I have no real facts besides that I am born to the largest boom to the population that the world has EVER seen in 4.5billion years. The largest amount of Co2 that has ever been released into the atmosphere belongs to my generation.

So now we are concerned about our pollution. The pollution from our cars and our planes and our factories. We are concerned about our “Carbon footprint”, so we cut down the rainforest to create space to grow corn fields for ethanol. Truth of the matter is this. We as consumers are selfish. We care only about our own convenience and how hard that will hit our pockets. Most people buy goods that have been outsourced to countries that release high amounts of emissions into the atmosphere to save a dollar or two. Most people will scream for hybrid, but not for them to drive. No, they will drive their H2 and their big ford trucks. People only like the idea of saving the planet and leaving a clean carbon footprint…but they don’t want to do the one thing they need to do.

I am going to present a formula to the world. Here goes. This is what Al Gore and every other sleaze ball politician/activist should have done.

IF every 1 human being was to own ten plants let’s see how the world could be different. You ready for this. 10 times 1 equals 10. 6 billion times 10 equal 60 billion trees. Tree’s consume Co2 and produce oxygen. Funny thing I heard the other day was that humans consumer Oxygen and produce Co2. Funny how that works!

Mankind does not want to give up their technology. They will not give up their planes and their vehicles. Green cars are around the corner, but how green are they really? Fully affordable electric cars might be 20 to 30 years away. Fact of the matter is reducing our consumption of fuel will not solve this problem. The one solution for a brighter tomorrow for our generation and those that will follow [besides population control] is to control the population of our allies. Increase the number of trees. The government should take my tax dollars and plant 10 trees for every American. Maybe other civilized countries will catch on and do the same.
This of course is all just my opinion, and the last I checked I was an extremist.

Regards,
Jahrootz

My Letter to ColorofChange.org

Earlier this week I received a letter in my email from an organization titled Colour of Change. The email was titled:

"Rush attacks Black folks. Will Republican leadership stand with him?"

This email of course struck a cord with me, and since I am in the process of writing a piece on racism in America, I decided I would share this with you as a prequel of what is to come. As usual, let me know your thoughts.

James,

The following letter is for you and your team.

Let me start by saying...as a coloured Caribbean entrepreneur in this country I find life full of obstacles. I find it difficult not because I am being held back by another race. I find it difficult not because I have words thrown at me like stones. I find it difficult because that is how Jah made this world. I am not held back by any colour or race. Not Black Americans, not White Americans, not Africans white and black alike, nor the Chinese or any European. None of them have the power to hold me down. None of them would even know where to start, The only person with enough power to stop me, would be me.

I am personally tired of social welfare. I am personally tired or watching other people scrape by and come up with excuses for their lack of an imprint on this world. Whether the excuse be their colour, their race or their family history. I was born to a man who came from a wealthy family with no money in his hands when he came to this country. At the time of my birth his only riches were his love for his son, his passion for work, the knowledge he was given through a good education and his experiences in life. With those tools he made his empire. He built his own wealth completely separate from his family. He took out his bank loans and made his business work. No assistance from Uncle Sam.

That is the beauty of this country. Everyone has the chance to create their destiny. This is not India where social classes stop you from advancing in life. This is not Iraq where you are jailed or hanged for being different. This is not a country in Africa where you are shot for being from the wrong tribe.

Now I want to address these emails that you and your team always send out. I signed up for your emails not because I am tired of being held back. As you can tell, I do not think this way. I signed up for your emails because I am what I call a true Liberal. Not in the political sense, because I am in fact a conservative. I am a true liberal in the sense of being open minded. I like to hear what everyone has to say, because I am aware that everyone is entitled to his or her beliefs towards EVERY subject. I actually find it humourous that most of those considered as Political Liberals aren't even open minded.

Rush Limbaugh is but one man. One man with a powerful voice only because of how loudly he speaks. His radio station is not forced on anyone. In fact his listeners openly CHOOSE to listen to his words. They do that because that is their right. Rush Limbaugh is a man with a colourful history too, as I am sure you are aware. In this email that you address to myself and your "followers", you start out by saying this:

"Dear *** ,

You won't believe Rush Limbaugh. He just accused President Obama of trying to intentionally wreck the economy, saying that Obama wants to put more people on welfare and food stamps, and implying that he wants to redistribute the country's wealth to Black people."

IF you have not noticed James, President Obama and his colleagues have in fact admitted to wanting to redistribute the wealth in America. That is what the higher taxes for the wealthy are for. And you may not feel he is intentionally trying to wreak this country. But many feel he is unintentionally doing just that. In your email you try and attack Rush Limbaugh and the Republicans who listen to him. And I have to say my only reaction to this piece of ignorance is to laugh. At which point did you and your people forget the freedom that was given to express your opinion. You and organizations like your own have been doing so for longer than Rush. The only thing I ask of you and your "kind" of organizations is to remove your malicious intent and properly inform the people who take you seriously. This country is going through a lot of changes recently. Whether those changes are in the right direction falls on the shoes of the American People as individuals. It seems like "thinking on your own" is a thing of the past. Both of the main parties in the political spectrum have played dirty cards. This will not change until people "man" up and stop pointing fingers at the wrong items of concern. Don't send emails insulting Rush and his comments unless you add in a piece about celebrities like Kayne West and Janeane Garofalo who makes comments which no backing and of no significance. If you want to be a part of the movement in the right direction, educate yourself and your team on ways that you can actually educate the people. In your message you claim that Rush is the one who plays on the "racial fear and paranoia" when you are simply adding fuel to the fire. You want to put out a flame, bring Sand and Water and remove it's oxygen source. Don't bring it more life to consume.

I don't expect that my email will change your point of view or your manner of approaching a situation. I do not ask that you remove your freedom of expression like you attempt to remove that of others. All I ask is that you remove the ignorance from your message. Because with a mailing list like the one you own, you are sure to do one thing...and that is spread that ignorance like a virus. I want to inform you that your website and methodology of "informing" the people will be blasted on my blog. I will not speak badly towards what you mean to stand for, but instead allow people to know of your existence.

Regards,
--
JahRootz
http://airbourneinforums.blogspot.com/

The American Separation

Dear Airbourne In-forums Readers,

Today I will admit to being the enemy. Not because I want to be the enemy, but simply because the government has labeled me as just that. They have stated that the point of view of myself, and those who think like me should be feared.

Well here is the point of view you should fear then.

I believe all of this sounds a lot like fear tactics. The Government has done two things by releasing this statement. They have made the average American who may of voted for Obama but who may no longer support the current direction of the administration, fear publicly coming out against the views of the administration for chance of being labeled a terrorist or extremist. The other scenario it will successfully achieve is to create a separation within the population. Those who are for him, and those who are against him. The sad truth...but that is just the opinion of a person labeled an extremist/terrorist by his own government.

Lets take Janeane Garofalo [the moron actress] as my prime example for this blog post. She has been very open about her political views, as have I and many others. But she has some rather sketchy comments that follow her beliefs. They often remind me of Kayne West and his "George Bush hates Black People" comment.

Let me give you the new quote that will beat out Kayne:

"'Let's be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It's not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea party was about. They don't know their history at all. It's about hating a black man in the White House,' she said on MSNBC's 'The Countdown' with Keith Olbermann Thursday evening. 'This is racism straight up and is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. There is no way around that.'"

My favourite part of course is the last line. We are nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. This America is separation. We have come to a point in America where you are either for our President and his policies or you are a Homophobic Racist Redneck who is a terrorist and a possible threat to this country.

Here we have a country where the people are free to stand up against what they believe is a violation to their rights [as many did during the Bush administration] and they NOW are being labeled for it [which was not the case during the Bush administration]. Not only by ignorant close minded individuals such as Ms. Garofalo but by our own government.

The "American Separation" is well on it's way. It is something that many believed was impossible in this country. The very separation in other countries is the reason many arrived in America, and here we have history repeating itself yet again. It's not a good sign when a socialist leader can make this statement:

“It would seem that the changes that started in Venezuela in the last decade of the 20th century have begun to reach North America”
-Chavez

What does this mean to you? Simple. Don't be afraid of your beliefs. Always remember that the government in power works for the American People. But most of all...what this means for you, me and the rest of the world is this. Don't be swayed by anything other than your own thoughts. I know my readers don't think like Garofalo...but be aware that others do, and simply walk around them and preach your beliefs. It is your given right!

Regards,
Jahrootz

How American International Group (AIG) was thrown under the Bus...

Dear Airbourne In-forum Readers,

It has been a month since my last post. Society has yet again stirred the anger within me. I wanted to start a series of post on my blog (and I eventually will) that spoke towards the wisdom of Ronald Reagan, but before I can go ahead with that theme of post's I need to speak about AIG.

The other morning I woke up to a series of messages from colleagues that I often speak politics with, stating how much they hated AIG. At first I could not understand where this sudden deep hatred came from, then I turned on my PC. All over the news was talk about the bonus's being provided to those who worked within AIG. All over was talk about how angry the tax payer should be, that these "greedy morons" over at AIG should hang or be executed like it was the wild west.

I mean seriously?! At which point did this country allow people to be guilty until proven innocent? I thought it was supposed to be the other way around. For our very own President to call the company "reckless and greedy" before even having a full understanding of what is going on...well that is just not the true signs of a leader!!

This post is to just point out a few issue's with the story being presented to the "Tax Payer" just in case they care to even know. First off I want to point out to the people what is really going on here. The media and the white house is playing off your emotions. They know full well that most of you will not do the proper research to understand the truth. Someone very close to me said it best.

"The Obama administration is still on the campaign trail. They are doing whatever the people want them to do. They are saying whatever the people want to hear."
-unknown (to you) source

Well in an earlier post I basically stated that the presidents job is not to make the people happy by doing what they want, because the people don't always know what is best for them. The Presidents job is to be a rational thinker and do what is best for the people whether they smile about it or not. It's no longer a publicity stint. You got the job...now do what you were hired to do.

AIG made a promise to it's employees in 2008 (by promise...I mean a contract). A contract that in the simplest of forms, stated that if they did not leave AIG [for another competitor] they would be given a retention bonus. For those of you that don't know, AIG's Financial Products was meant to die [taken apart]. That means the positions were meant to die as well. What do most people do when they know they are meant to get laid off? Find another job. The contract was created to get people to stay until the end. It was a promise from the company to the people, that stated, for your time and trouble here you go [enter dollar figure here]. One of the things that is so beautiful about this country, is we uphold our contracts to our people. They are law. Unless of course your President Obama or the House. No, at that point you can pass a bill that goes around the law (the contract) and you create a tax that takes 90% of what they are promised [and can jokely state the other 10% will be taken by local and state government]. Then you allow the media to paint a picture of AIG's employee's...as if they were not human.

Do people forget that the people who work at AIG are human beings. Tax payers. They have families. There have been death threats to these people. People have come out right and asked for their execution. You may not take it serious...but it is very serious. Society has lost sight to what is really going on here.

Obama should have never come out and said anything remotely negative about this situation. If he wants to remove blame from the White house, that is fine. But to throw AIG under the bus is ridiculous. The people need to understand a few things. The people who work at AIG were promised compensation for staying with the company instead of leaving it in the dark. If all the employee's had left the Insurance Firm at once...the bail out money the government put into it would of been a waste anyways!

The next thing people need to understand is this. American International Group is what we call an Insurance organization. Just like if you were to get your home destroyed by a natural disaster, you would get money back. AIG is basically a second bail out for the banks. Why do you think the government couldnt let them fail. The bank bailout would have been worthless without saving AIG. AIG right now is just being used as a scape goat. They are not at fault for the money lost. As long as the banks are losing money AIG will be doing the same!

In fact, lets take this further. All of the tax payers out there complaining and stirring up the waters...I blame you. This is the chain of blame. I blame the people who took out loans that were more than they could afford. I blame the greedy bankers for providing the loans. I blame the government for telling the banks to do so. I blame everyone BUT American International Group (AIG). They simply did what they were supposed to do...insure the loans. AIG didn't tell you to default on your payments. They didn't tell you take more off the tree than you could eat. You did that on your own. Then you cried for a President who could be your hand puppet, and to top it all off, you forgot how to think like rational human beings!

It is our jobs to elect our politicians. It is our job to tell them when we are unhappy with the direction of the country. It is their job to uphold the law and do what is right for the country. No matter how you feel for AIG think about this. How would you feel, if your company made a contract with you promising you compensation for your troubles and a year later when they fullfilled their promise...your government snatched it away from you. No matter the circumstances...a contract is a contract. Death threats on fellow human beings is uncalled for! We are in America, not the middle east. You know what all this reminds me of?

Class warfare.

Is that where this country is at?

Do not let your politicans cloud your mind. AIG employee's are not to blame for all of this. The very CEO of AIG that is being attacked came out of retirement to help the company last November. He came out of retirement for a $1/annual salary. The people left at AIG may not all be good people but some are trying to help the company out...and here we are making them scared for their lives simply because of their position and the company they work for.

Think rationally. Think things through. Class warfare is just as bad as racial warfare.

Regards,
Jahrootz

The New York Post Cartoon

Dear Airbourne In-Forums Readers,

Let me just start by saying that today marks the 1 year anniversary of this magnificent blog. What started out as a simple way for me to post my thoughts for the entire internet kingdom soon became my main source of political relief. I know that I do not see eye to eye with many of my peer’s, while at the same time I realise that there is a mass amount of people out there who understand and view things the way I do. What this blog evolved into over the last 365 days is a by product of many events and many discussions.

Moving on…

This week two things occurred that caught my interest. One being, that Newsweek published an article titled “We are all Socialist now" and then a little cartoon got published in the New York Post.

When I first saw this cartoon I chuckled for three reasons. The first being the actual story of a chimp that was killed in Connecticut this week by two police officers who were protecting themselves from an upset primate, a chimp who was pampered and treated like a human by its owner. The other being the line that one of the cops uses while standing over the dead primate, implying that this monkey was somehow involved with the creation of the latest joke from our new Presidential Cabinet. The last reason has nothing to do with anything drawn within the cartoon, while at the same time having everything to do with everything within the cartoon. Some how, in some way this cartoon has been taken as not only a racist shot at our new President, but a threat to him, and well, in my mind I just don’t see it. In fact, I see a bunch of liberal’s looking for fuel to throw into a “Race Fire” that was started back when Obama won the primaries. Here we have a funny story about a chimp that attacks a friend of its owner (this doesn’t happen every day), and currently our nation is also coming to terms with this wonderful Stimulus bill that does nothing for the economy, while at the same time broke most promise’s our President made during his campaign, so WHY NOT tie them together. Why is it, that people like Tony Danza (from “Charles in Charge”) have to some how tie it in to a racial joke, I am not quite sure.

The cop in the above illustration is saying “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill”, and this is some how implied that Obama is the chimp? For all of you looking for reasons to point fingers to the right, allow me to clear up a few issues with your argument. First and foremost, Obama did not write the stimulus bill. In fact, this bill belongs to the likes of Nancy Pelosi. So if this is making fun of anyone, it is her. For anyone to say that this is a racist cartoon, I will boldly say you are filled with blind rage. You are not only looking for something to be wrong you are also being very short sighted. Allow me to explain.

In the past, when G.W Bush was our president, there were a lot of cartoons made. Cartoons made depicting GW as a redneck cowboy going out to war with guns in the air. Cartoons depicting GW and his cabinet, you know Colin Powell and Connie Rice, following him...like the help. No flags were raised back then. Why is that? Is it because those on the right actually have a sense of humour and we knew these cartoons were just blowing hot air. It’s impossible to count on two hands the amount of time GW was drawn as a monkey running the country into the ground and here we have ONE cartoon depicting a monkey shot and killed (something that actually occurred) and it being implied that this monkey had something to do with our new bill and the people are in outrage. MCHammer even went as far as to post on his Twitter page that this cartoon not only depicted a monkey, but the monkey was a BLACK monkey.

Did any one of you think (simply think, its not that hard), that this cartoonist MIGHT be saying he thinks the bill was a hair brained, stupid, good for nothing, written by a bunch of MONKEY’S solution to fix our economic problem?

Why is it that the race card is always pointed towards people from my side of the fence? Why is it that we never get the chance to do the same? I mean, the GOP is populated by minorities as well, and the left has always showed their humour through the same means as us. So it’s not like we haven’t had the opportunity, but yet still we are always on the defense from it. This year alone we have shown that racism is not what people thought it was. We have a black president and a black attorney general. Two black men selected by the people to be in top positions within this country…and one of them has the nerve to say our nation is a bunch of “cowards”.

Here are my thoughts on that. Stupid, ignorant liberals. Not all of them, just the ones that decided to create an issue where there was none. Here we HAD a nation that may not have fully agreed with everything Obama has done to this day, but has at least accepted that he is in fact our President. The nation came together and the mass majority voted him in and now a new wrench is thrown into our wheels.

Here’s what I think is going on. Here we have a nation that got together and voted in a President of something other than a pure white background (like me, he is of more than one race, one of which includes a white mother, by which he was raised). In his first 31 days of office, not many people have been too happy, including his followers. This bill of theirs just doesn’t make any sense. Slowly people are stating everywhere (including high school students) that they just don’t see what this liberal government is doing that would make sense to help solve our problem. What’s the best way to get everyone on the same side again? Draw the colour card. Make the nation be upset with the conservatives all over again…remind the people why they voted for him again…because he was the minority. Make something out of nothing. Get them in an uproar again, take their minds off the fact that the government just passed a bill that none of our elected officials got to read. A bill that WE didn’t even get to read, a bill that allows the government to spend nearly a trillion dollars in places that will NEVER stimulate the economy. A bill that shows that our liberal politicians (I can blame them because our republican friends never voted for it) never learned their lesson from the “Lost decade” of Japan.

My fellow Americans open your eyes and realise that we are all walking down the same path. As a nation our future co-exists with one another. This cartoon in my opinion was meant to say nothing more than this bill was written by a bunch of primates that have not yet evolved. I think Nancy Pelosi fit’s that bill perfectly. Is my colour side racist now? Or even better…am I a sexist now?

Before I sign off on this post I want to say one last thing.

Racism people, is what you make of it. I think that is something the American people need to learn. I was raised in a culture where race was nothing, we were all colour blind. Class, now that’s what defined who you are and how people reacted towards you. Class can be defined as how you present yourself, how you hold yourself, and how you interact with others. A lot of people in this country seem to have this chip on their shoulder that they can’t get rid of. And by holding on to this chip, they in turn create more issues than what actually exist. To make this easy to understand, let me say that racism is born of the utmost ignorance in mankind. Not saying racism doesn’t exist, what I am saying is, racism is as easy to ignore as the ignorant. Learn to get around it without making a big deal and maybe it will be forgotten and our grandkids will never know what it is to discriminate based on colour. The longer it is allowed to affect our way of lives, the longer it will stay around. Think of it as a virus that feeds on our attention. Ignore the ignorance and it will eventually go away.

Signed
Jahrootz

Political Zombie-ism

Dear Airbourne In-Forums Readers,

Zombie-ism is a phrase I have been using a lot recently to describe those who I usually stand opposite of when it comes to political beliefs. It’s unfair for me to simply call liberals Zombies though; as it is true they are not the only ones. I know many young conservatives that are simply following the path of the most resistance or that of their parents, with no true understanding of what it is they are preaching. There was a point in my life where I spoke politics with hardly anyone, but as each hour in my life passes by, it turns into an occurrence that happens more and more frequently. From speaking to co-workers about personal beliefs about the direction of this country and our people, to speaking to my “tweeple” about our opposing views when it comes to the differences between the Democrats and Republicans.

Political Zombie-ism is blind belief. It is a blind following. It is a true lack of understanding. It is a mass of people voting for a president because of the colour of his skin. It is a mass of people voting for a candidate simple because he is the opposite of someone else, or even worse because he is the candidate that represents the only party they will support. It happened on both sides of the spectrum so no party is safe from the Zombie-ism.

The country is in for a lot of twist and turns within the coming years. Many of us will not see the results of what is being decided today, for years to come. Zombies seem to not understand this fact. Many people have the misunderstanding that the decline of our economy should all fall on G.W Bush’s shoulders, since he was the President whose lap it fell onto. Many people don’t seem to even begin to understand that our recession started while another President was in office and that what a President does today may not necessarily be felt for a number of years.

We, the people of America, need to have a better understanding for what is going on around us. I am not asking for everyone to think the same. I know full well my way of thinking is different from those that are liberal, and by Political Definition that makes me a conservative. I am fine with that, as should those on the opposite side. The joyous part about our country is, we can all think differently. But first, and foremost…we as Americans need to THINK!! Until the mass majority of Americans learn to think on their own…they will suffer from a disease I have un-officially coined as Political Zombie-ism. So do all of us a favour, and educate yourself.

Regards,

Jahrootz

Hero Complex

Dear Airbourne In-Forums Readers,

On the road to the 2008 election one main thing could be seen from the Main Stream Media. They loved Obama. But it didn’t stop only with the Main Stream Media, it continued on to us [online social media avenues], we too held Obama up in the lime light. [By “we” I of course don’t mean myself, but my peers] We created a hero, our very own Superman. Super Obama! The man who would save our “Once Great” nation and return it back to the good ol’ days. You know the days I am talking about…days of the Great William Jefferson Clinton. [Please, for those of you who may not know me…sarcasm is running amok right now] Here is the question I want to pose to everyone… Will it ever be possible for us to physically take Obama off the High Pedestal that we have placed him on?

Will we ever regret this?

The reason I bring this up, is because I am curious as to what point the Media will stop becoming Bias. Here we have it, they have inflated who this man really is, what he can possibly do…so are they now being biased so as to not stomp on their mistaken prediction of the TYPE of change he could bring to the country? Plain English…are the putting a positive spin on everything about Obama? That’s what I want to know.

In a recent conversation with an associate of mine, we were discussing the inability for people to understand or grasp the concept, that what they were led to believe could possibly be wrong. It creates further blindness in society. They are unwilling to accept what they were warned, and instead continue to ignore what is right in front of their eyes. Now to be fair, the same can be said for the Republican party with Bush his 2 terms, but in my opinion there was a different type of Media spin for him. He was the moron just looking to impress his father in their eyes and they never got off that high horse.

As to not drag out this topic, and not be seen as someone beating a dead horse, let me just conclude by saying this. I am fearful that the Media, the source of information for the majority of America [who don’t know how to look anywhere else for information], will never back down on their initial love for Obama…no matter what. They have created this hero and my fear is, no matter how much his policies go back on our countries foundations…they will never take the blinders off of America.

Regards,
Jahrootz

The Unfortunate Truth

Dear Airbourne In-forums Readers,

The current global economy is quite concerning. Among many things going on in all of our lives, we have the growing concern that some of us may not have a job in the coming months. None of you are alone with that train of thought. Even the most experienced in his field suffers from stress filled sleepless nights [unless he is naïve to his actual value] that revolve around the very thought, that we are all expandable. I want to ensure all of my readers; you are by far, not alone.

Before you ask, allow me to explain where I am going with this. Tonight, like many nights, I got caught up in a political/economical conversation with someone on the street. This particular conversation was with my neighbor as I tried to sneak out to get my “eyes” from the car. Who would have guessed someone would be smoking at minutes to one in the morning? [Unless you are one of those stressed, suffering from sleepless nights]. I did the polite thing, and I walked over to say “hello and good night” [my father raised me well] and we proceeded to get into a conversation about the financial market [as myself and him always seem to do]. In the midst of our conversation, he proceeded to promote Obama’s promise to bring jobs back from over sea’s to help stimulate the economy [he had a grin of Democratic Triumph when bringing this up] but I kindly reminded him…that the jobs Obama would be “promising” to bring back, were probably not the type of jobs he would be looking to spend his time doing. Yes, times are hard, but how many of us want to use our college degrees to wipe the sweat from our brow as we do manual labour to survive? I stated, in my opinion [of course], that if those were the type of jobs that would be created for the long haul out of our economic crisis, that I would rather struggle on my own and do it as a business owner [which I am doing anyways…]. When you actually think about it, what good would those types of jobs actually do for an individual with a college education? Would it help him get the experience required for the position he would be dreaming about beyond our recession? Would the type of position he is dreaming about, ever really exist independent of the government again? These are all concerns we should be having as a society.

The Unfortunate Truth is, that the answer does not lie within our President and his cabinet of elected thieves. If we continue to turn to any elected official [Republican or Democrat] to come up with the solution for us, then we will truly deserve the end results. I don’t know if any of you noticed…but in the last 16 years, not much has changed in the way of thinking politically and economically from our elected officials. The Unfortunate Truth people, is that society needs to learn to play it smart again. Don’t be fooled by what you are told. America is not the only country in economic hardship. America is not in need of severe action to correct our situation. What America is in need of, is something America has forgotten to do over time. Americans need to learn to look out for each other again. You want to stimulate the American economy? Spend American dollars, on American made products…that way American manufacturing plants can stay open and hire American people. Stop demanding for cheaper goods!!! Where are these cheaper goods usually made? We have Unions that suffocate companies with high pay wages, while all the while Americans are demanding for cheaper end products. How the hell does that work? [I do not support Unions in any way or form. I think they are the destruction of capitalism, and have lost focus on the general purpose for their creation. They will destroy the American economy slowly like a cancer.] We have dug ourselves in to a ‘Class F’ for “F***ed Up” situation.

And to make matters worse, when times get rough, like a butt hole that is suffering from constipation, we tighten up and just allow the problem to build up resulting in a very painful outcome. [I just HAD to say it…lol] The Unfortunate Truth America is that we need to learn from our past mistakes. But since Society likes to turn to those that are considered ‘Great’ for help. Allow me to help you…

Here is my opinion:

We need jobs. We don’t need higher taxes for the rich, what we need is jobs. We need the government to stimulate the private sector in a way that will inject some blood into that ‘limb’ of the country. I am not talking about something that requires governmental control either. What I am speaking of, is the good ol’ capitalistic way of thinking, where you allow business’s to flourish and fail, with the natural cycle of America. Next thing the government can do, is realise who they should be taxing. The man who makes less than 30k a year does not need a tax break. The fact of the matter is, he will not be saving a dime anyways. He will benefit in NO way [long term] from a tax break and neither will the country. What we need to do, is decide what portion of America is the BIGGEST spenders. You know…the type that would stimulate the economy. The type that would buy those American made products. Whatever bracket that falls in, it’s THOSE people that should receive a tax break. Because those are the people MORE likely to spend dollars on our soil, for our by-products, and the last I checked…that is EXACTLY what we need. If people are not spending money, retail will continue to suffer. Those that work in retail [you know, the ones making less than 30k receiving a Tax Break] wont have jobs for very long. Before you know it, the only people working will be the wealthy [those that were smart enough to outsource their wealth] and they will be taxed to take care of those not working or to help fund GOVERNMENT jobs. And I would just like to point out, that in the books I read in university…that equals Socialism.

The Unfortunate truth, my fellow Americans, is if we continue in the direction we are heading, then we will burn over 200 years of American Beliefs and Standards. We may as well have never fought the British for Freedom. The civil war was pointless, as was the civil liberties that the “non-whites” and all females protested for before our time. We have been handed a country by our Forefathers, that we are about to screw up. That is the Unfortunate Truth! No matter who is to blame for our current situation, all we need to do now is think for ourselves. Instead of the government thinking for us…can we please realise the true meaning of a democracy. We control OUR own fate!! They do not need to think for us…we are a country with enough educated minds to know this. Pay attention to what is going on around you, or you will continue to be led down a path none of us will like. For you born to foreigners, like myself, remember why our family is here. Remember what our parents escaped from.

The Unfortunate truth is this will not be easy. So until the Zombies stops allowing themselves to be led to the water, and they starts to find their own way, we are on a path of self destruction. A destruction we will not realise until our grand kids are in charge, and Americans are reading about Capitalism in the history books.

I thank you again for the time you have donated.

Regards from the Highest!

Jahrootz

Gitmo Bay’s Most Wanted

Dear Airbourne In-Forums Readers,

It’s been on my mind for some time, and well I have just not been following my heart it seems. I have allowed the Patriot Act and other items of concern distract me, but I have decided to finally talk to the point of Gitmo Bay…and the prisoners within. My thoughts on this point are to say the least, very close minded. I can admit…that I have a cold hearted side, and that I don’t believe terrorist deserve any rights, let alone Human Rights. So before I continue, let me just say that Nancy Peloski, you’re an idiot.

Here we are bitching that these people aren’t getting treated properly and our techniques for getting information from them might be harsh. Do we not remember the video’s of Americans getting their heads cut off? How about the threat that more attacks would come? Do we not realise they don’t want us alive, and they live for our death. They want to cause terror around the globe…so my question is. What is wrong with a little torture to get the information needed to keep us alive?!

Sometime this past weekend I read an article in my local newspaper. The article was titled “Saudis’ list of Most Wanted”. It of course caught my eye, because it’s been a topic of heated discussion between me and my old man since Obama announced his plans for Gitmo. Everyone has been talking about this “Extremist Rehabilitation” programme…as if it would really work. Seriously?! Who fell for that?! It has been reported that two of the new leaders [currently on said Most Wanted List] of the Yemen branch of al Qaeda are the by-product of that rehabilitation programme. Yes, you heard correctly. Two guys [and many others] have now experienced the U.S military first hand, from the inside and out…and now lead al Qaeda. In fact, listen to this. One of the most recent suicide bombers in Iraq, was released to Kuwait on the grounds that he had no involvement in Anti-Western activities. That he was just a simple man living his life in his country. His lawyer defended him to freedom…and to the death of a handful of other people as he blew himself up. My opinion…the lawyer should serve the time for those murders. What do you think?!

Where am I going with all of this? Let me get to the point. I have been preaching for quite some time now that our safety should be the first thing on our minds. We have all these liberals complaining and worrying about how the world see’s us. People…if you have not noticed, America is a country EVERYONE loves to hate. This country has been going downhill the second we stopped focusing on ourselves! That goes for an economical point of view as well [but that’s a different post]. We need to remember, France doesn’t help us for shit, but they always come to us for help. Who cares if they think we are evil. If it wasn’t for us they would be speaking German right now. Remember, that we come first. Remember that we have not had an attack since 2001 on our soil. Remember that we have stopped SEVERAL attacks since 2001 around the globe! Remember that when you die due to terrorist activity…that you won’t be around to change your mind on how we treat these guys.

So, ask me how I feel about Gitmo being shut down, and Obama’s camp possibly trying some of the military personal for what they were doing. I think it’s terrible. I think it’s one of many terrible things Obama has done in the last 21 days as President. Now I am just curious to see what his plan is for the prisoners. We already know rehabilitation doesn’t work. Do we want those prisoners amongst our normal prisoners? I mean…is that not just giving them full access to a sect of American People…that can easily swing against our country.

That’s just my opinion.

Regards,
Jahrootz

Does Capitalism equal Salary Caps?

Dear “Airbourne In-Forum” Readers,

I have been back and forth with what I should next write to you about. There is so much going on in the political sphere that it’s hard to just tunnel my thought process towards one topic in particular, so I did what any sane man would do. I picked a topic from a hat. Out came Senator Claire McCaskill. This woman would usually mean nothing to me, nothing like my “friend” Nancy Polski, but she is leading this bill that puts a Salary cap on the CEO’s of all companies that have accepted bailout funds. Now, when you read that, if you didn’t know of the bill before…you might be thinking...”What is the issue with that?”. Allow me to present my case.

Kenneth Lewis, CEO of Bank of America*, currently has a salary roughly around $7.5 million dollars. He is running one of the largest banks in America. In my personal opinion, one of the best run banks in America. I think one of the biggest issue’s anyone may have with Bank of America is the fee’s that they charge, but no one can deny it’s a fast growing company with a lot of cash (that’s good when you’re a bank). Anyways, that’s somewhat off topic. Here we have a CEO, who is captain of a very tight ship. A ship, that…even though it requested bailout dollars, is running very well. Why does anyone think, any smart and skilled person, would accept a salary DECREASE of over 90%?
*(It should be noted that Bank of America will not to be affected by this bill, neither will AIG Inc or Citigroup Inc)

Let me put this into perspective for you…let’s imagine you have a job where you make 100k a year. You are good at your job. In fact you are the best. Not only are you THE BEST, but your position is also important to the proper function of that company in whatever industry the company is in. Your employer approaches you and says this. “Hey John Doe, I know you currently make 100k a year for doing this important job, but because we needed help to stay afloat, we signed a deal with the devil, and the devil now says we are going to have to bring you down to less than 10k a year. I hope you understand.” Mean while, other companies in your same industry are still paying the “market value” for your position. So you decide to leave the company. The company tries to replace you, but because the government has stepped in and placed a salary cap on your position in that particular company…they can’t find anyone stupid enough to step down to that salary indefinitely. Since this position was so important for the company to survive, and they couldn’t fill it, what do you think happens to the company? They go under. Now the bailout that was supposed to assist the company…actually was the downfall of the company because of all the regulations.

Now with that said, allow me to remind everyone that I have been against this bailout. Everyone denied that it would bring about Government regulation on the private sector. But yet still, those same people support this bill. And what upsets me even more, is the fact that the regular citizen seems so upset that these CEO’s are making so much money. It’s like these liberal politicians are playing on the emotions of a sect of Societies Zombies that are currently suffering from our economic time, and using this ignorance of what is going on and making them vindictive towards these companies and their CEO’s. If someone was to think about it logically (in my opinion) they would understand that you can’t expect a good CEO to step down in their lifestyle just to run these companies. Yes, a lot of people would argue that these CEO’s were managing the companies poorly. But let’s say we replace the CEO with a better option. Is that replacement going to come in knowing there is a Salary cap?

I know a CEO for a bank based out of Europe Switzerland personally, and I have experienced his lifestyle. Let’s just put it this way, one way on a fishing trip for him is 26k in fuel alone. It’s this simple; our style of life is different at our current level and there is no way we can compare our salary number to that of someone on their level. In the end, in my opinion yet again, all this bill will do if passed is help crumble the foundation of these companies. I have heard people say that CEO’s may step up to the challenge to turn the company around, which may very well be true. We have CEO’s like Steve Jobs that actually hold his position while making an annual Salary of $1 a year. But he is one person…not many others are willing to do that. The question people need to ask themselves when thinking about this bill…are we being short sighted? I would agree that there should be some regulation on these companies, along the lines of…spending freezes, freezes on bonuses and anything else along those lines. But what is being asked is very extreme.

To add a note to this letter, I would like to say the Salary Cap was passed on this day (February 4th, 2009) by President Obama. There are a number of articles that speak to it. Below are two articles, one from Fox News, and the other from Yahoo! News. In the Yahoo! article they say something that is very scary. Allow me to quote:

“The administration also will propose long-term compensation restrictions even for companies that don't receive government assistance, Obama said.”

That means regulation even for companies that don’t seek government aide? That is the start of the destruction of Capitalism. These are troubled times my friends, we as Free Thinkers need to realise that it is quite possible that we are tricked into removing the rug of capitalism from right under our own feet. There would be no one to blame but ourselves …since we let them do it.

My last point before I close this off. How much of the president’s salary does the president actually use? Does he buy the food for the white house? Does he pay the salary of his staff? Does he fill Airforce One with fuel, or does it all come out of the tax payers wallets anyways? So for us to say the president’s salary is an okay number for these CEO’s is ridicules.

Regards,
Jahrootz

Yahoo! On this month, one year ago, Airbourne In-Forums was born from the idea of one man sharing his thoughts for the "World Wide Inter-Webz" to see, in the hopes that just ONE person might contemplate a new way of thinking. With that in mind, I have decided to allow guest writers on the site, in the hopes that they too can share something that might spark a thought into the minds of strangers.

The following Letter/Post was written with the most recent post in mind (The BART Execution). Not to long ago, I wrote a post titled "A Collapse of Society", in which I mentioned a conversation with a "non biological brother" of mine. That same individual will become the first GUEST writer for this blog...

I don't want to taint anyone's thoughts before they read this, so I will simply say...the Guest Blogger's words do not represent my thought process.

Enjoy.

To my valued free thinkers who have in possession the one thing no one can ever take from us,

I am guest writing on our respectful blog today to inform some of you enlightened people about something that is going on almost silently in this country and is creeping up on us quicker than we could have ever imagined. The most disturbing aspect of all these kinds of incidents is that it is history-proven to cause police states in which the people become subject of a tyrannous government model, in which people such as us (free thinkers) are looked down upon. The stories that I am referring to in particular are posted under this blog post (BART shooting incident) and here: http://nationalexpositor.com/News/1116.html

What these stories exemplify is the fact that police are treated to a lesser standard than any other citizen in this country. I know of in fact, instances where police officers have literally gotten away with murder. This over lording status of the very people that are supposed to ‘protect and serve’ is an absolute polar opposite to the purpose of police in general. Originally, in our fine country there were no such thing as police officers. You heard that right, when we were founded THERE WERE NO POLICE! You know why? Because this country was founded on the very easy to understand principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Those three words meant, in a nutshell, you were not to be bothered in your daily life, and you were responsible for yourself. There was no such thing as welfare, there was no such thing as INCOME TAX and the other thousands of government programs designed to create a safety net for society.

During the founding years and all the way up until the beginning of the 20th century, our country was based on liberty that meant you were responsible for your own future. That meant either success or failure, it was up to you. Another thing you were responsible for, was your personal safety. Think about this long and hard, especially if you are against firearm ownership… YOU were responsible for your personal safety. There was no 911, hell, there weren’t that many phones around, let alone the latest craze in cellular phones. You were the person in charge of being in the realm of the 4th amendment. Of course, liberty and freedom have their price, and a lot of people, as you are seeing a lot today, weren’t able to cope with the fact that they were alone in this world.

Everyone is always looking to point the finger, so due to this reaction to even miniscule problems, we have laws for EVERYTHING. We even have this little comfort which everyone likes to call the Patriot Act devised by our now ex-President George W. Bush. What everyone did in their state of fear from the horrors of 9/11, was look to Uncle Sam to fix the problem instead of looking in the mirror. Why? Because it’s easier than blaming yourself and taking responsibility for your own actions. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am 100% sure our government’s actions and/or inactions led to a situation like 9/11, but the very fact that they were responsible for our safety is a major issue on its own and its all of our fault. We have failed our country as citizen’s looking up with a hand out waiting for Uncle Sam to take care of us. To make some of you aware in case you didn’t know already, police DO NOT have any legal ramifications for not protecting you. Here’s a couple links to verify this fact: http://hematite.com/dragon/policeprot.html

The situations that occurred with these police officers is stemmed from everything I just wrote about. The very fact that there are police officers, is a problem. As citizens of a true nation of freedom, WE should be the police, WE should be the EMS, and if necessary, WE should be the Army (i.e. – what the second amendment really stands for, not hunting). In order for situations like the above to stop occurring, we need to start being pro-active in our lives and stop asking the government to take our money to provide services we don’t need. That includes things like welfare, social security, and every acronym they have in existence (have you ever really tried to count them all out? Real quick let me just go off the top of my head the ones that I know of: FBI, EPA, CIA, DOD, BATFE – formerly ATF, ICE – formerly Border Patrol, TSA, USSS, DOA, DOI, DOS, DHS…never mind, too many). What many fail to realize is this looking away attitude is causing our government to feel that we are peasants that need to be lorded over instead of productive citizens that can be trusted.

Once the American people wake up so to speak and realize that big brother shouldn’t be there for you to make sure you’re ok, and you are truly in charge of your own successes and failures, we may have the true rebirth of our nation. We may be able to go back to the days where people grew their own food, made their own clothes, protected themselves and each other without a dedicated police force, PAID ATTENTION TO THEIR KIDS AND NOT THE TV, stop blaming everyone for their own inadequacies and assumed responsibility…can you imagine? A world where things like honor mattered. A world where trust was something you could actually have instead of the shallow face of society now where people are protected by lawyers and everything else. We can only have our sights set on this if we take action and start acting this way ourselves. By setting the examples others will look at you and see your happiness and security and want to emulate your life.

Thank you for reading this far and I can hope that I have inspired you to make the real changes in your life instead of looking to big brother to make them for you. Stop granting the very people who are really looking out for themselves, to look after you. It’s your responsibility as a member of a truly free society. Originally the shooting that occurred in Alameda County, was simply called a shooting. Now everywhere you read, it is no longer considered a shooting, but rather an execution. The word "execution"changes the whole mood of the situation. It makes the situation "Riot Worthy". Just one word...changes it from a simple investigation of what really happened, to making it a "Riot Worthy" event.

Let me state, I do not support what Officer Johannes Mehserle did on New Years day. I do not feel that his excuse for the shooting [that he thought he had drawn his taser gun instead] is a valid one. In fact, my honest opinion, is that he should be stripped of his rights as a human and suffer years of jail time, with no hope of freedom for years to come. I think what went down was fishy, and wrong. As a cop there needs to be a level of control over yourself, especially when you can't always control your environment. To have a kid pinned on the ground, and "accidentally" open fire on him, just doesn't make sense. Are you telling me he can't physically feel the difference of a taser gun, and his 9 mm in his hand? He doesn't know the difference in the weight and feel? I doubt it.

But that's not what this post is about. No, instead of touching on the incident, I want to touch on the aftermath.

I mentioned the word "execution" earlier, as a riot worthy word. There seems to be a trigger word in the minds of ALL the Zombies in the world [a series of words actually], that just makes them act irrational. It brings out the NEED for chaos in their lives. And for those moments, we have law enforcement. Now, before I continue, I want to state that EVERY situation is different. There are times when brute force is used, and not required, as well as times where it is needed, but it is frowned upon and criticized. Below are two photos taken by a woman named Brooke. In figure 1 a young man is pinned on the ground with an officer's knee planted to his neck. Figure 2 shows the same young man on his feet being arrested. [I have also made both pictures linked to Brooke's Flickr page so that you can read the comments]

If you follow the link attached to the image of Figure 2 you will see a comment that states:
"Great shot, you can just see the excitement on the cops face about getting to use his riot gear on a defenseless person."

Does the individual in Figure 2 look like he is going peacefully? Not to me.

Here is my point. What happened in the Fruitvale Station on New Years day is unfortunate...but it is done. At what point do people think, that rioting, and looting is the answer? Of course when you cause mayhem there will be a force set forth to correct it. If a cop is arresting you, he is in control. Do what is in your power to stay unhurt and alive...and that is done by not fighting him and doing everything you are told as long as it is meant to keep you out of harms way. If you fight a cop, he will hurt you. You cannot call a man, defenseless, if he has just been arrested for looting, and he is trying to fight a cop. He is guilty. Simple.

All I am getting at here, is that a photo can only show a split second of what is really going on. We can not judge these situations with out proper facts. Do not "hate" the police for doing their job and while trying to keep themselves safe at the same time. They too have families they want to go home to. I do not support a Police State...we all know this. I despise it. But there needs to be law and order.

I will say this...if that was Florida, and that young man tried to loot my shop, he would of prayed the cop got to him before my shot gun shells met his face and chest. [And that my friends would be legal...so jahbless Jeb Bush] Chaos will always be met by force, whether by police, or by those looking to protect themselves and their property. The crime of one man, no matter how unjust, should not incite chaos. And when it does, there will be riot control...and actions like the below photographs capture will occur.

In my opinion, the gentleman being arrested deserves the treatment he is recieving just as much as the Officer Mehserle deserves his time in jail.

Regards,
Jahrootz

Figure 1:

Figure 2:

A Collapse of Society

Dear 'Airbourne In-Forum" Readers,

Has any of you read the book 'Alas Babylon'? It was a summer reading book of mine many years ago, when I was still young enough to think in tunnel vision. The story was entertaining, but it also some what opened my eyes to the possibility of change being instant, and not over time. Society as so many are used to, collapsing over night. I have heard someone say...the world's concept of 'peace' is every one with a gun to their head. I don't doubt that statement. God forbid anyone accidentally pulls a trigger...then it's like that game mouse trap.

Moving back towards the point though. I recently sat down with ONE of three non-biological brothers and had a little 'rap' session about politics. We have somewhat similar views, but not everything is parallel in our thinking. At some point in our discussion we talked about the possibility of collapse, on a whole, of society. Of course, we both agree that it's very improbable, (but still not impossible). But what were to happen if society stumbled? Not collapsed, but simply had a lapse of it's sanity. For example, a certain black presidential nominee never won the election and society decided to reject that decision. Or flipping that, he did win, and a certain close minded portion of society decided to act. When thought about, it almost seems like anything could happen to throw the balance out of place, and while that is very depressing...what would you do if you suddenly found yourself in a situation where society, for a moment, no longer existed as you knew it?

The law was you, in your home protecting what is yours. Be it your family, your worldly belongings, or anything else. What would you do? Do we, as American people, feel so protected by our security blanket...that we no longer know how to survive in the cold. One example used in our conversation was New Orleans, while another was the L.A Riots of 92'.

I don't want anyone to think I have gone all 'Pale White Horse' (funny how I couldn't find a wiki on this bad boy of a book...so look it up, but be careful ;) ) or anything. I use this blog as an avenue of release from my inner thoughts, so I thought I would share that with you. On that note... I purchase my Smith & Wesson very soon.

Lovity to the Highest!

JahRootz

The Fairness Doctrine

Dear "Airbourne In-Forum" Readers,

Where do we come up with these things? Why do we, as people, feel the need to control? It should be one of the deadly sins in my opinion. My father, who is not always, but usually the fuel to my conservative fire...posed a question to me tonight at dinner, after reading my two most recent posts. He asked me how I felt about government control over radio broadcast. Asked me if I felt that it was necessary that, if an hour of "conservative" radio was played...that an hour of "liberal" radio be played right after it. Well...to me the answer was obvious. I will give you a second to think about it.

No. I don't feel it is necessary. I don't feel that any one station should have equal time between beliefs. That's like asking my blog to switch back and forth between what it stands for and what I WHOLE HEARTILY disagree with...

That is JUST my opinion of course. Everyone is still entitled to one of those...right?!

The Fairness Doctrine... how do we break it down? Let's start by a simple definition of what it was originally made to be back in 1949.

The Fairness Doctrine is a policy created by the FCC that required radio and TV stations to, in effect, provide a balanced or equal time on matters of public importance. Any station that did not do so, would run the risk of losing it's broadcast license.

Sounds, and seems simple enough. Since the time of the doctrine's birth it has basically died out, to the best of my knowledge. Only problem I have now...is those trying to bring it back from the dead, and the reasons why they want it up and kicking again. Who will this doctrine affect if brought back? Stations that make their living off certain topics. Lets put it this way...some of you may feel that someone like Rush Limbaugh is a bit of a far-right nut case. But that man has done well for himself, with his business. Imagine if there was a rule that said Jim Crammer from "Mad Money" had to spend equal time talking about cooking as he did trading stocks.

Why is it so difficult for someone to change the channel? While the elections were going on...I didn't like what NBC or CNN had to say most of the time. You know what I did...? I watched them less. Why would we ask someone to change their business model, and what works for them...if there are other options available to the people?

I will tell you why. Those politicians...like my dear friend Nancy Pelosi...want to kill off those stations. They want to remove any air of distaste towards their views. You think I am being...paranoid? Then someone tell me...why it's only ever the democrats that try and resurrect it. Over 25 years now since it's death...and every time the subject is brought up, its by the Democrats.

I don't want this post to get very long and drawn out, as I don't think there is much to worry about, when it comes to having this doctrine revived. I Just want everyone to be aware, that even in it's death...it is still haunting us with the possibility of resurrection.

Deepest Regards,

JahRootz

Did Foreclosures Change the Presidental Election?

Dear Airbourne In-Forums Readers,

Here we are yet again my dear readers. We are less than one month away from one of the biggest days in American History. President Elect Barrack Obama, will officially take President Bush's seat in the white house. Some people seem to think, this will be the day that everything stops going in the direction it is currently heading, and will do a complete 180 in the right direction. These are the people that voted for "Hope" and for "Change", and here I am stirring up the water yet again.

I recently read an article, posted by RealtyTrac, that posed the very question that is the title of this post.

Did Foreclosures Change the Presidential Election?

Below is an excerpt from the article (attached to the question above is the link if you want to read it).

"If you want to know how the 2008 presidential election was won you need to look no further than the nation's biggest foreclosure centers.

Seven of the top 10 foreclosure states voted Republican in the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections, while three states went Democratic. This time around the Democrats captured eight of the top 10 foreclosure states."

(Now I will leave it up to my readers to review that entire article, but I must say, my first thought is, that they are placing blame on our current President and his party. If you feel I am wrong, I am open to debate it with anyone.)

Does anyone else have a problem with this though? This "situation" that our country is in...is not the fault of our current President. People are so short sighted. Problems do not occur over night. Your car breaks down not because of something you did yesterday, but because you haven't been taking care of it for quite some time. People will ONLY realise what the problem is, when they stop following the media like Zombies.

Society is screaming the same words over and over.

"With Clinton, life was good. With Bush, life was horrible."

When did we, as society, lose the ability to reason? Why is it that society is simply associating bad times with our current Elected, instead of ATTEMPTING to figure out where it all went wrong... It is that simple... As simple as taking two steps back and looking to see where it all started.

Was it when families who made a total of less than 100k a year, were living in million dollar homes and driving 60k cars?

Was it when property appraisers were being "bribed" to appraise a home for a higher value, because everyone knew the bank would lend anyone the money, no matter the dollar figure?

How about the fact that debt was at an all time high, but it didn't matter because EVERYONE was living the American dream...

Could those of been what pumped so much air into our housing bubble...that we all knew would EVENTUALLY have to come back down?

Was it Bushe's fault that the bubble eventually came down? That people paid 600k for a home that was only actually vauled at 300k?

So lets ask the question again.

Did Foreclosures Change the Presidential Election? You are damn right they did!! Did it change the election in the right direction?! Hell no! No instead of voting in the solution, we voted in the same type of thinking that created the problem in the first place.

-Signed-
JahRootz

Capitalism

Dear 'Airbourne In-forums' Reader,

I am going to, for the first time, give some personal information about myself in this blog post. A few of my readers know me like family, the majority of my three plus hundred monthly readers however don't. This will come as no shock of course to anyone... I am not a believer in a lot of Democratic (the party) stand points, and due to a lot of new things happening in my life, I have been thinking about them a lot more recently. Allow me to take you down my train of thought.

Tonight (being the holiday weekend before christmas)I was driving in front of my non-biological brother on the highway, coming from my blood brothers house for a night of board games. His car, is the self proclaimed "Blue Beast of Kendall", and is probably one of the fastest cars under $40K on the streets (to my knowledge). This is a yute who has spent the majority of my college years fighting a war that he most likely never really believed in, but did what he had to do (survive) and got the hell out. A yute...that between him and his wife are living life to the best of their ability without holding anyone's hand.

Now rewind to earlier in this day.

I am standing out front my new residence, getting to know my new neighbors. I am speaking with a man, who has been married for 14 years, has a child, and is currently in between jobs. A man, who three years prior, picked up his family and changed his neighborhoods because he didn't like the direction his old "hood" was going in. That direction, was Section 8 housing. He looked me square in my face (not knowing where I stand) and told me he didn't like free loaders who depend on the government.

Now... lets sit and chat. You may wonder where I am going with all of this. Well to tell you the truth, those two things are just the topics that sparked this post...so I thought I would share them. Because during my drive home tonight, and while speaking with my new neighbor I was thinking about a man named Barny Frank, a man I sometimes like to call Jabba the Hutt. I was thinking about his suggestion to congress and our President Elect, about buying up all the foreclosed homes in the market, and making them Section 8 houses. I was thinking about his suggestion during the reign of Clinton, that was along the lines of removing regulations on banks, that stopped them from loaning money to everyone, which helped put us in our current predicament. I was actually wondering...when he last had an intelligent thought.

My new residence...was a foreclosed home. My new location is within a community of people who I would consider to be hard working Americans. Americans who enjoy the fact that they live in a decent neighborhood. Americans that may be struggling with our current market, but know full well when the market comes back, times will not be as difficult. Sure a lot of them got cheated by greedy developers with over inflated prices. But their light at the end of the tunnel is...that the REAL value of real estate will always go up, as long as the conditions continue to improve. When was the last time one of you drove through an area of government housing? What do you think will happen if the government buys up ALL the foreclosed homes from the banks, and doesn't allow Americans like myself to buy them? When they give those homes in decent neighborhoods to Section 8...? What will occur to the real value of those properties?

I want my readers to understand my true issue's with certain things politicians tell us. Whether they be republican, democratic or some where in between. I WANT TO MAKE IT ON MY OWN. Government funded programmes CAN exist to help American Citizens, but they must not take the struggle away from them. It's that hunger that make people succeed.

THAT MY FRIENDS IS THE MAIN REASON FOR A CAPITALISTIC SOCIETY!!

The market can control itself...it does not need a hand to guide it. Corruption removed and it would be perfect. Do you know I have actually been told by a man, who believed himself educated, that the worst thing this country ever did...was be a Capitalist Society. That man looked me in my face, and told me he wanted to remove the very foundation of this country. What has made SO MANY PEOPLE...wealthy. The reason he has a job...and can demand a high salary...instead of working for the government and being told what himself and everyone with his skill set will be paid.

I don't think people understand what capitalism is. Capitalism is that man on the side of the road in Downtown Miami Florida, selling what is known as "PAN CHICKEN" to hungry people leaving parties at 5 am, and making $10 on a quarter chicken...(with a line that could of matched the line to get INTO the session a couple hours earlier). Capitalism is two guys starting a company in their garage in 1997, and being bought out by Dell less than 10 years later. Capitalism is being able to FORGET the number of homes you have...because you have so many (and I am dead serious about that one). Capitalism is being able to make it from the bottom to the top...and not having to feel sorry for all the people you passed on the way up.

Do you guys get it? It's easy enough. Capitalism to me...in a nut shell is this.

You make what YOU want out of your life.

From a Black man can become President of a country that less than a 100 years ago had water fountains for blacks and whites...

From a woman can come off the streets in one of the ghetto-ist communities in America and become a top doctor...

From an immigrant can come to this country, after being stripped of every penny from the communist leader on his island...and still make it all back..twenty times over.

No one has an excuse. No one can say it's not fair. Don't tell me you are being picked on. Do not complain to your friends and tell them it is because of your gender, race or religious belief. The only thing holding people back from truly enjoying the benefits of capitalism...is themselves.

That is why I am a "heartless" man in his twenties. I am struggling like all of society right now. Struggling to make sure I keep walking forward, and never walking backwards. No sympathy here. I love capitalism, and I believe it is the best form of government that exist in this world. Not perfect...but the best.

This my friends...is why as Americans, we cannot allow our government to do our thinking. They are under the impression that they can make our lives easier. We need to tell them...we don't want that. We don't all want to be equal. Because if we were all equal, we would all be without colour. What is the point of excelling in life...if you know full well you will always be on the same level as everyone else? You ever been a group in university, where you bust your ass off to get an A...while the other person did jack shit? You still got that 'A'...but you had to share it. Not what I want out of life.

With that said...my dear readers I want to sign off this post, by apologizing for my lack of attention to this blog after the elections. This will change before you know it.

With Deep Regards,

JahRootz!

How Obama Got Elected...

This video was released...I assume just shortly after the election day. From the beginning of the year I made the comment, that the majority of Obama's supporters were not as educated as they should be. Whether you make a counter argument or not about the McCain supporters...is up to you. Now mind you...no where in this blog post am I saying that what Obama did was wrong. I am instead saying, that the people who were moved towards "Change"...didn't know what type of Change they were moving to. In fact...they might not of even known what the problem was in the first place...

Enjoy!

Check out this website:

HowObamaGotElected DoT CoM

"I have never been proud of my Country (America)" - Michelle Obama

Let me begin this post, for those of you outside readers who may not know who I am, by saying that I am and always will be proud of America. First Generation American born into the Jamaican Culture, I was taught from birth that everything I have in my life has been provided to me from the opportunity that is America. With that said, allow us to move on.

From the day Michelle Obama made the comment "I have never been proud of my Country", many people have gone in one of two directions. Those on the right have attacked her for making the statement that she has never been proud of her country, while those on the left have defended the comment, by making statements like, she has never been THIS proud of her country, amongst other things. No matter her meaning...no matter the interpretation...Americans need to know how lucky they really are.

As of recent, I have been coming across quite a few Americans (when I say Americans... I mean those who have benefited from this country most/if not all of their lives) that have been mirroring Michelle Obama's comment about never being proud, or just NOW being proud for the first time of their country. I will forever have a problem with this way of thinking. To me it seems like the younger generation of Americans (which includes myself...a "yute") have become so spoiled, that they feel they have the right to make that statement, when in truth and in fact...that is the one right they don't have. I sometimes question the flaws people find with America, and the "American Lifestyle"...and I often wonder if they compare it to the flaws of living in another country. I listen to them talk about racism in America, knowing full well that in Africa, tribes of the same colour still kill each other. I hear them talk about the poor in America, knowing that in India, your class can and will still be held against you for your lifetime. Minimum wage and workers rights...things that don't even exist in some countries still. The right to have a Union in a job field? HA! How can there be a Teachers Union if the teachers don't have rights?

But yet still...I hear people make the comment. They have never been proud to be an American until now. What does that mean...? People are only now proud to be American, because we were the first country (of our size and our vast mix of colours and cultures) to elect a Black commanding chief? Seriously?

Lets take it to Michelle. Here we have a woman, who is not only the first Black First Lady...but she is a woman who is at the highest seat in Politics, with the poorest background. Grew up in a one bedroom apartment with 4 individuals living in it on Chicago's South Side (whatever that means). Her education and her determination got her into both Princeton and Harvard through scholarships. But she is just now...proud of her country. Do people not realise, there are not many places in the world where a poor black woman can become the first lady? Even if she had never become First Lady...the fact is, her and her husband grossed over 4 million dollars a year. Coming from a 1 bedroom apartment in Chicago...I would say that is pretty impressive.

This post however is not to debate on what she meant with her statement. It is instead, to raise the question about what today's society means when they make the statement themselves. As far as I see it, we have a country that may not be perfect...but it sure is better than some of the other options out there. America is not obligated to take in the immigrants from other countries...yet still America does...even though it seems the majority of those immigrants don't seem to be happy with the country they are rushing to.

So I ask...why are Americans JUST now proud of their country for the first time...and never before?

Next Time on Airbourne Inforums: Immigrants that come to this country...and try to change it back to the country they ran from.

Cuba got Change in 1959...

In the heart of Little Havana where I live, there are a lot of people torn. Torn between the political party they think best suites them, and what their parents support. Cubans on a whole have been die hard republican through out the years. As one generation moves up in age though, they are followed by a more liberal thinking generation. So certain concepts that never got passed down, begin to tear a culture apart. What do I mean by this?

Not to long ago, a bumper sticker surfaced in Miami, Florida. On that bumper sticker sat these words: "Cuba Got Change in 1959". Basically a lot of Cubans have begun to compare Obama to a certain dictator that over took an island in the Caribbean sea under the promise of change. When I first heard these claims as a republican I thought they were far off...and over the top. That was until I read this letter from a Cuban-American who was one of the original islanders that escaped for freedom in America. Kind of reminds me of the story of my father and his family.

""To Whom it may Concern:

Each year I get to celebrate Independence Day twice. On June 30 I celebrate my independence day and on July 4 I celebrate America's. This year is special, because it marks the 40th anniversary of my independence.

On June 30, 1968, I escaped Communist Cuba and a few months later I was in the United States to stay. That I happened to arrive in Richmond on Thanksgiving Day is just part of the story, but I digress.

I've thought a lot about the anniversary this year. The election-year rhetoric has made me think a lot about Cuba and what transpired there. In the late 1950s, most Cubans thought Cuba needed a change, and they were right. So when a young leader came along, every Cuban was at least receptive.

When the young leader spoke eloquently and passionately and denounced the old system, the press fell in love with him. They never questioned who his friends were or what he really believed in. When he said he would help the farmers and the poor and bring free medical care and education to all, everyone followed. When he said he would bring justice and equality to all, everyone said "Praise the Lord." And when the young leader said, "I will be for change and I'll bring you change," everyone yelled, "Viva Fidel!"

But nobody asked about the change, so by the time the executioner's guns went silent the people's guns had been taken away. By the time everyone was equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and oppressed. By the time everyone received their free education it was worth nothing. By the time the press noticed, it was too late, because they were now working for him. By the time the change was finally implemented Cuba had been knocked down a couple of notches to Third-World status. By the time the change was over more than a million people had taken to boats, rafts, and inner tubes. You can call those who made it ashore anywhere else in the world the most fortunate Cubans. And now I'm back to the beginning of my story.

Luckily, we would never fall in America for a young leader who promised change without asking, what change? How will you carry it out? What will it cost America?

Would we?

Signed,
Anonymous""

Now, with all that said...I know a lot of my reader's will reject this. There has been a very close minded view about the possibility of a Socialist Obama. In fact, on the liberal front...it has been very much rejected. But I will say this in my closing...some of the people who have rejected this view of Obama...have also openly stated they think the Bush administration is behind 9/11.

One Love...and Walk with Jah

How to Catch Wild Pigs

It's the day before the U.S election...and well it's business as usual. I don't want people to think, just because the election is over that my post will cease. Who ever the winner, I don't think we are in for a bright and sunny walk through central park.

Just like the post before, I found this on the internet. I thought I would share it with my readers, as I feel it is the perfect example to show how America might one day wake up to socialism. As some of my readers have a hard time accepting my political stance, I will not claim who I feel falls in this category. Just take what you can from it.

Catching Wild Pigs

A chemistry professor in a large college had some exchange students
in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Professor
noticed one young man (an exchange student) who kept rubbing his
back, and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student
told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while
fighting communists in his native country who were trying to
overthrow his country's government and install a new communist
government.

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a
strange question. He asked, 'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?'

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punchline. The
young man said this was no joke. 'You catch wild pigs by finding a
suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs
find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they
are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the
place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the
fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side
of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You
continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate
in The last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to
come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch
the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and
around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to
eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have
forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept
their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees
happening to America . The government keeps pushing us toward
socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of
programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned
income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant
crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc... While we continually
lose our freedoms -- just a little at a time.

One should always remember: There is no such thing as a free lunch!
Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than
you can do it yourself.

Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a
problem confronting the future of democracy in America , you might
want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is
essential to your way of life then you will probably delete this
email, but God help you when the gate slams shut!

In this 'very important' election year, listen closely to what the
candidates are promising you!!

Just maybe you will be able to tell who is about to slam the gate on
America.

'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big
enough to take away everything you have.' - Thomas Jefferson

The Ant and the Grasshopper 2008

Before I post the following story I want to point out a few facts. First fact is that I did not write this, it was in fact provided to me by a Democrat (Faaaar Left Liberal), whom I am sure had it provided to her through someone else. I thought it was interesting though she liked it enough to start an email thread about it. The second fact is that... I don't want people leaving comments on my blog stating I am closed minded for posting this. IF you do... I will delete them...because they are truthfully not called for. Before you read on, allow me to say thanks in advance for returning to read another Airbourne In-Forums post.

The Ant & the Grasshopper in 2008. Two Different Versions! Two Different Morals!

OLD VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY:Be responsible for yourself!--

MODERN VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long,Building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'

Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the Ant's' house where the news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.' Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

Nancy Pelosi & John Kerry exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of theGrasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the Ant to make him pay his fair share.

Hillary and Barack go on national television agreeing that the plight of the grasshopper is the fault of George Bush.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of theSummer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.

Obama gets his old law firm to represent the grasshopper ina defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of federal judges that Bill Clinton appointed from a list of single-parent welfare recipients. The ant loses the case.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY:Be careful who you vote for...

Also you can follow this link : Wiki Wiki Wikipedia!!!

Turn the page...

I would like to point out something I have recently noticed within society. My hope is, that by discussing this, there will be a better understanding to my beliefs about "socialism". In many of the conversations that I have come across, in regards to the rich, I have noticed some key points that are discussed. First of all, there seems to be some animosity for the rich. As if they didn't work hard to receive their wealth in this world. I have come across this mainly from individuals that come from hard working families that seem to be "stuck" in the middle to lower class sector. Before you get your comments ready...allow me to explain.

Many of the comments I have heard have led me to believe that people feel there is a system in place within America...that allow some people to make it, while others can not. Not to insult anyone who may be reading this, but I think differently. Not every venture is made to be successful. Ask any business owner how many attempts it took to get something that was close to profit. The road to riches is one of the hardest roads ever walked. Of course...all in my opinion. Some people prefer to stand back and just "get through" life. Others walk forward and create their own life. It will always be that cut and dry. Determination and drive.

One of the biggest issues in today's election trail...is higher taxes to the rich. This topic has been the "match" that has ignited many heated discussions. Some say the rich have the money to "give up", others like myself say that a higher tax rate for the rich is not fair. Certain politicians have suggested that the rich would be unpatriotic not to pay higher taxes. We have led society to believe that the rich do nothing with their money, except collect and spend on useless things, that middle and lower class society could only dream of. Sure...some of them have more houses then they can count. Some even own private jets, and other luxuries that may just be over the top [Like a collection of every sports car built (my dream)]. But on that same note, as long as they deserve it (By deserve it, I mean worked hard and created wealth legally), because their money was received through their hard work and dedication [before you start to comment...read that line again], they are allowed to do what they want with their money. In these conversations where people are complaining about tax breaks for the wealthy, they complain that the wealthy don't spend their money enough to help society... but I pose the question. How much do those people really know about the charity habits of the wealthy?

Who funds small start up ventures like GCNG (Global Consulting & Networking Group Inc), and Realvibez? Who funded Zappos.com? Who helped start up Pay Pal, and eBay? Was there a pot of gold at the end of some rainbow?

On a similar note. Who are the top people in the world to donate to charities around the world?

Action Against Hunger, Africa Foundation, Amos Trust, Dig Deep, River of Life and more...

Maybe the Warren Buffets, and Cindy McCains of the world? Cindy McCain who is so criticized by liberals as being a drug addict...but anytime I have heard it brought up about all the good she has done in Africa, she is in turn called a hypocrite. Anyways...sorry, I went off subject.

There are so many ways that our wealthy class help society. Yes, tax breaks are given. Yes. Warren Buffet (who is a very smart man) has found a way to get enough tax breaks that he pays less taxes than his secretary [By the way, was he talking dollars or percentage?]. I don't disagree that the wealthy should or will pay more in taxes than the middle and lower class. I do however disagree with a percentage hike.

30% of 250,000 = 75,000

30% of 35,000 = 10,500

Same percentage...different dollar value. Versus that 30% for the middle/lower and the 45% for the wealthy [112,500]. Whether you feel the wealthy can afford to lose it or not...having animosity against the wealthy (made possible by direct comments like "you should be a patriotic American and pay higher taxes") just doesn't make sense. They do their good. There are some bad apples. But as in every class of society you have your good and your bad.

Turn the page on your thought process. For inspiring business men/women...look towards those wealthy who have made it down the path you are trying to take, and learn from them. Approach them for assistance, and become a part of that. And in turn...I hope you are a "Patriotic American" in return, and find a way to not only help your fellow Americans, but help the world with those extra dollars you are generating.

Why the Republicans might lose 2008 to Change...

I am a level headed individual. Most of the times. I can admit defeat...and I am preparing to admit defeat now. Let it be known though, by admitting defeat, this doesn't remove the fact that I am voting for Change...by voting for McCain. I still don't feel Obama is the right direction for this country. Be that, as it is doesn't mean anything to you. I will explain why I think Obama has taken this election.

Obama:
I am not a spiteful person. I may not like what you stand for, but I can still hang with you. For those who know me, I listen to very liberal music, but I am (to most of my co-workers surprise) very conservative. With that said, I think Obama has the personality of a "cool guy". A little arrogant, but so am I and all of my friends. The man has the personality that many people can connect with or they just think he is easy to like. No matter how you look on it, the vast majority find him easy to let into their homes. And that alone is what bought the election for Clinton. McCain seems to be the opposite of his opponent. He is an older man, with a very stiff personality/body. He is hard to let into your home, and well to be truthful...he may of been a cool guy when he was younger, but I don't see myself wanting to sit down and vibe with the man. Which to the vast majority of the United States population, that is a key factor in running this country. Obama could sit down in a speech and say the same thing over and over, and everyone will eat it up as the policy that will change the world. McCain says the same thing over and over again, and he is trying to brain wash the world. It just goes to show how far personality will take you. I now understand why I have been so successful in life. (hehe..had to throw that in)

A good example of what I am saying. In a speech Obama made a statement about visiting all 57 states, not including Alaska and Hawaii. When certain people in the media commented about it, the reaction was that they were trying to basically be "petty". There is no question in my mind, if that was McCain or Palin...the reaction would of been so much different. But small mistakes go to show how personality can take you a long way.

Obama's Camp:
What an amazing show. I studied marketing in school. I studied the art of absorbing the peoples attention. And I have never seen a campaign be so successful. In the age of web 2.5 (2.o is soooo yesterday)...Obama and his marketing camp have owned this election. Knifed the republicans multiple times and pissed on their body. It's ridiculous. Guerrilla Marketing...flooding not only the country but the world with the phrase "Change". Filling people's heads with the idea that no matter what Obama does he will be a better candidate because he is not a republican. I can almost promise that the majority of the populace don't even know what kind of change Obama is planning on bringing. I am a debater. I love to test people's knowledge to find out where they truly stand. And I have not been shocked. There are a few people out there who have a socialist point of view (and yes... socialism is still alive and kicking) and well, I can't wrong people for thinking different from me. I mean...people support communism right?! Some people want to be taken care of...and others like to hand out money to be used for all the wrong reasons.

Besides all that crap though...Obama's camp has done an amazing job at marketing. They have an amazing force behind them. I commend them on their efforts. Future republican candidates could learn a lesson or two from this election. Of course it helps that Obama picked up all the young top marketers of this country.

The Media
There is no question in my mind that the media has chosen sides in this country. I am going to make a statement, that a lot of my readers will laugh at. Fox News is the most neutral station in the U.S right now. When you're done laughing...think about that statement. You might hate Bill O'Reilly, and the others...but they are the only reporters who have been fair to both parties. If you don't believe that...just watch the O'Reilly interview with Obama. It amazes me to see the news papers and the television stations take sides the way they have. A lot of people say it's not true. But I am going to use a democratic example. Joe Biden and Hilary Clinton. Both individuals make similar statements about going to Iraq and getting shot at. One of them gets it blown out of high water by the media...the other. No word. It's examples like that. Favouritism being played by the media. It has been occurring this entire election year. We have the media filling the heads of people with items like how Palin has zero foreign policies and she is not right to be a heart beat away from the President. But how much foreign policy did Bill Clinton have when he stepped into office as President? When Al Gore was questioned in an interview before the first Clinton term, he suffered the same fate as Palin. No one will remember that though. Instead anything left open to attack an imperfect republican camp will be taken. While it is the opposite approach for an imperfect democratic camp...holes are instead covered up.

The majority of the people involved in "following" politics this year, have this belief that the media provides them with all the information they need. Unfortunately the media has failed at their job of providing unbiased information. In my opinion, there is no unbiased information. The only thing that is unbiased is the facts. From there it is up to the voter to make up his mind as to what best fits their beliefs. I myself, will admit to being a republican. I am anti-socialism. Biden = Socialism. I will not vote Obama in for that. Mind you, that is just one of many reasons why I don't approve. But I will openly admit to my bias. The media takes claim to giving unbiased information...when all they do is place a spin on something to point the less educated in a certain direction. Sadly the theme for this election is anything "not republican". Obama win's on that camp.

McCain:

My last point, is McCain himself. He has become his own worse enemy. I am not sure he knows how to play this game anymore. Here we have a political camp (Obama) that have openly played the race card and a member of their own party. We have a man with so many negatives behind him...in my opinion. He is another Bill Clinton, in the fact that he strives to win a popularity contest, instead of running a country.

But McCain is instead playing a child's game. He acts as if he no longer wants to win the race for the republicans. We have a very liberal senator whose camp has successfully made the majority of young America hate McCain and everything he stands for. They have succeeded in this, by simply taking things out of context to spin it in a way to favour what they feel is what "America" wants to hear. When it comes down to everything, their plans are very similar. Their biggest differences lie in their fiscal policies... including how they plan to fix the current economic crisis. With that said...I think McCain has played a horrible game of chess.

Editors Note:

No matter how you look at it. A fiscally liberal...and a fiscally conservative person will never see eye to eye. No matter the candidate. What McCain has instead failed to do...is communicate his actual plan for this country. I know what the plan is because I do my research. I know what I want from my leader. However the Lemmings that were on the fence are successfully following Obama/Biden and the media on a trip over the cliff. And it's not just those Lemar's that were on the fence...but also those Lemmings who believe the republicans only think of themselves. People have been lead to believe (by Biden) that if you are rich and don't pay higher taxes you are unpatriotic. Yet still, those words come from the vice president candidate of a man who makes roughly 4 million dollars year, and up to 2006 donated up to $1,000. Following that year, more was donated to a church run by Jeremiah Wright, a man Obama supposedly doesn't follow.

The ammunition that McCain can use, is almost endless. Yet still... he allows our party to sit silently and take the hits. We react slow...and before you know it, the damage is done. If the republicans lose this 2008 election...I don't blame the people and I will congratulate Obama. But I will place the blame on how the republican camp handled this election year.

No matter the outcome though... I hope we still learnt a lesson from the guerrilla marketing tactics of the Democratic Camp.
