I have been not posting anything for so many months now. Can't go into the reasons now (which are too many). Anyway, I just wanted to formally announce the close of my blog. This is the end at inblahblahmode.

Maybe in future, I might start blogging, but that's going to be from a different blog. Or may be even with anonymous credentials :)

Right now, it looks like I won't be doing any of those for a long, long time.

To all those who dropped by and stayed to read ;), those who commented and especially those who visited again, Thank You!

Till we meet again.....may be another day, another url.....

Bye :-)

divyasurendiranhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944360386145298224noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10721388.post-10915916861421547922008-01-14T21:46:00.000+05:302008-01-14T21:49:15.469+05:30What do you think? This is a statement that I picked up from another blog:

"Women who are the loudest in declaring their relationship status to people – particularly when their boyfriends/husbands are not around – are usually the ones who would cheat on their men."

I can atleast think of one case where the above quote holds good. But that is not enough proof, I agree.

What do you all think? Is it true?

There are no right or wrong answers. Just opinions.

divyasurendiranhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944360386145298224noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10721388.post-1147265581024824112006-05-10T18:13:00.000+05:302006-05-10T19:48:26.576+05:30Tagged for pleasure :-)Got tagged by swas. Here goes:

Simple Pleasures in life:

1. When I hear one of my favourite songs(or some song I have been wanting to listen to) on radio after a long time.

2. Walking in an area surrounded by plants and trees with the cool evening breeze blowing my hair away from my face. Point to be noted here is that the wind should blow the hair away from my face and not towards because then I would end up getting scratches on my face, what with my hair texture ( alright, I am exaggerating – still, I prefer the “away” scenario) :D

3. When I end up getting absolutely matching accessories for my dress…no wait! That’s bliss!

4. When I am really hungry and get to eat yummy food.

5. When once in a while, without prior planning, it so happens that friends and gang meet and end up having a whale of a time. The unplanned aspect makes such experiences so special.

6. When someone genuinely says something nice about me.

7. My current obsession involves wanting to play with a cute, chubby baby - around nine months old. One that can crawl but not walk :D .Though I don’t think I can be very patient after an hour or so. Still, I guess spending time with such a cutiepie would be great!

8. Laughing heartily for a long time. Mind you, not that kind where you do it because you should be polite. The genuinely funny moments that get you cracking are what matters.

9. When you put in a hard day’s work at office and go home satisfied.

10. A full-fledged gossip session with girl friends :D

I am not passing on the tag. *A sigh of relief goes all around*

divyasurendiranhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944360386145298224noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10721388.post-1142314281857655282006-03-14T10:51:00.000+05:302006-03-14T11:01:21.883+05:30:DMy friend: Baby-sitting would be a problem (once we have kids, that is)
Me: Baby-shitting would be a bigger problem

divyasurendiranhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944360386145298224noreply@blogger.com28tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10721388.post-1132379420362476382005-11-19T10:44:00.000+05:302005-11-19T11:20:20.383+05:30A.u..t...o ride........This post is about that unique and unforgettable experience called riding in an auto. Now I am not an expert on this, but I think the experience depends on a combination of two factors:
1. The auto
2. The road
If you get a “good” auto and a “good” road, it means you are a “good” person who has done lots of punniyam and will go to heaven without a next birth. However, if you get the average combination of a well-behaved auto and a naughty road which is actually the Rocky mountains in disguise (or an auto which thinks it is a horse and a nice, smooth road), it means you are an average person in shades of grey and God affectionately knocks you on the head once in a while for your sins by making you travel in an auto. But heaven forbid, if you end up with the final, deadly knockout combination of roads with bumps and craters and Prithviraj’s horse (yeah, I mean the auto), you are so unlucky that even Mickey mouse will bite you on the nose! With a bit of effort on the part of the driver, the whole road may come to know what you had for breakfast. Or even how many teeth you have …. umm … had! I have heard people say that if a woman in the advanced stages of pregnancy goes for a bumpy ride in an auto to the hospital, she will deliver by the time she reaches the hospital.I have one more thing to add:

Do not ride in an auto when you have diarrhoea!

divyasurendiranhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944360386145298224noreply@blogger.com27tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10721388.post-1131952169906587292005-11-14T12:34:00.000+05:302005-11-14T14:42:43.760+05:30Yawn................I have a really really bad case of writer's block! This has been the case for a
loooong time. Want to post something badly. But no idea pops up ! :-(
And John, i tried to work on that tag - but miserable results. So, pls excoose!
Aaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh! I want to write this absolutely
hilarious post which makes my blog the most popular in blogdom. A post similar to Onida ( my pride and my fellow blogger's envy). One which raises my blog rating to a perfect ten from its current state of -4.18 . As of now, mommies make their adamant children eat by threatening to read out my last post . And since i have posted nothing new since God knows when, the children gobble up their (and even their mom's food) for fear of my post being read to them for only the 87th time. *sob! sob!* But my brain just refuses to co-operate (I WILL DELETE SMART COMMENTS WRT THE USE OF THAT FIVE LETTER WORD B___N !)!

What to do now? What to do?

divyasurendiranhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944360386145298224noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10721388.post-1127571199035838882005-09-24T19:36:00.000+05:302005-09-24T19:43:19.036+05:30I am proud of myself :DOk, here is what happened.
I wanted ….. had to buy nail polish remover today.
I asked for it in a shop and the guy there said they don’t have it.Since I wanted to get it badly, I was on the lookout for another shop.I came across a few “prospective” shops but gave it a miss as I wasn’t sure if
the item would be available. By now, I was a bit worried about not finding any shop. So, what do I do?
I immediately jump into the nearest shop and ask for the remover.
Only, it was a medical shop :D .Now, as far as I know, medical shops don’t supply nail polish remover. Repeat: as far as I know……..Well, I realized my “dumbness” as I was asking for the product. Thankfully, the lady over there just smiled and answered in the negative.
Then, on the other side of the road, I saw a departmental store and hopes rising, went towards it.
As luck would have it, I got what I wanted. But wait, my quota of goof-ups for the day wasn’t yet done with.I had a 100 Rupee note with me and wanted change. So, I ask the guy there “100 rupeesukku change irrukka?”!!!
I mean, for God’s sake, that is a departmental store (and quite well known in that area) and I ask that guy, if they have change!!!I can guess why that happened. I think its because of my almost everyday conversation with the auto drivers :)Anyways, the guy didn’t gape or laugh – he nodded and gave me the change.
There, my deed for the day is done.
I'll go to sleep a proud person today :)

divyasurendiranhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944360386145298224noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10721388.post-1127036594107794112005-09-18T15:03:00.000+05:302005-09-18T15:13:14.120+05:30Hmmmmm...........This incident happened a few months back when I had gone to my grandparent’s house during my annual trip. My cousins had also come and on that particular day, or rather night, we were all getting ready to go to bed when the talk turned to how Mallika Sherawat had (Un?)dressed for an interview. My youngest cousin, who was 9 years then, was in her petticoat (for the night) and hence had wrapped her bedsheet around her as she felt shy being that way in front of us. We told her to do away with the bedsheet and tried to tell her that it was ok if she didn’t have the bedsheet around her. My mom very wisely(?) gave the example of Mallika Sherawat saying something like “Look at her. She wears such short clothes. Why do you feel shy in your dress?” hoping to convince my cousin. Immediately my cousin responded (sincerely, according to me) “Woh to bade log hain” which translates to something like “They are adults!”, as if that was a reasonable explanation.

I know that this sounds funny :D In fact, we all laughed about it. But it makes me think too. Because, if this is the kind of message we are sending out to the kids, I can only say “God help all”!

divyasurendiranhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944360386145298224noreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10721388.post-1123569346744147142005-08-09T12:00:00.000+05:302005-08-09T12:05:46.750+05:30The answer"So, do you like guys with a sense of humour?", he asked her in what he hoped wasn't a "dying-to-know" tone.
"Hmmmm a sense of humour is a big plus, but it is not everything", she replied.
"What about the intelligent ones?", he persisted.
"Intelligent people have my respect, but other qualities do matter", was her reply.
"Is it the money and status then?", he was getting frustrated.
"Hey, it is a nice thing to have, you know. In one particular school i studied in , we had the habit
of calling people as either "yae boy" or "yae girl" (yae as in the tamil yae).I
don't remember if we did it only if we didn't know the other person's name
or if we were angry with them. But we used to call like that.

4.And we also used to play a "house" game with................STATIONERY
(pencil boxes, pencils, pens ,erasers and even scales which if i remember
right, were also used as diving boards for our swimming pool )! :) The
pencils and pens would be members of the family with the tallest pen being
the father....... you get the idea?cute na? In fact i wouldn't mind playing that
game even now provided i get world class stationery :)

Probably there are many more such incidents, but iam stopping here.Would like to hear about your experiences, in the comments section.

P.S:Actually, points 2, 3 and 4 all are related to one particular school.Seems like my parent's got their money's worth :)

divyasurendiranhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944360386145298224noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10721388.post-1119426751491453132005-06-22T13:18:00.000+05:302005-06-22T13:22:31.496+05:30Lotsa optionsI am one of those people who laugh a lot , i mean A LOT!
Good jokes, ordinary jokes, bad jokes, no jokes - i am capable of laughing for them all. This being the case , i always wonder when i see this quote which goes something like , don't marry someone for money or looks but "Marry somebody who makes you laugh"............ Don't remember the context. But i have a feeling that i have said something like that . Sheesh!
Also, let us imagine ourselves in place of the stars in a program. What would i say if some caller calls me home? "Sorryinga aanaa idhu nadakkara kaariyam illa"?!!!!! No way!I would probably "hmmmmm" and "er...." or give an embarassed smile and try to change the topic but endup saying yes anyway. So, after trying to put myself in their shoes , i realised that there may be reasons in their favour , like:

1.May be they really feel you have grown up and/or it is a (subconscious) way of showing their affection.
2.May be they keep up the small talk.Believe me, there are times when i say things just to carry on the conversation.
3.May be they want to be polite - Can you imagine a star saying "oru vatti phone la paesittu veetukku koopidareengalae!idhu konjam over"?!!
4.May be they dont want to disappoint their fans.......Blah blah........
So, i guess can't really blame them. And i guess.......no,i know that you are all getting heartily sick of the whole thing. So,let me stop this post right here:-)

divyasurendiranhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09944360386145298224noreply@blogger.com3
