I was vaccinated against the H1N1 flu virus yesterday.

Tomorrow promises to be November 17th, the exact mid point between two dates that are equally far from it in both the future and past. This is mostly a meaningless statement, unless it isn't.

I occasionally use this expression: "I would have been here sooner had I arrived earlier." It offers no additional information however it does often create a reaction out of the person with whom I am speaking.

I probably wouldn't buy a soup bowl that was made of lint.

I think I need to purchase a few new apparel items.

There are keys on my keyboard that do not get used with any regularity. The F7 key, for example, I do not believe I ever use.

This weekend includes swim lessons for the two oldest children and gymnastics class for the middle child. There is no hockey this weekend. Maybe I'll get to have a nap.

I have really been enjoying doing the crossfit.com exercise routines. I brought my gym stuff (we have a gym here at work) today in case I feel up to doing a routine. I may not feel up to it as I gave blood on Wednesday. I suppose I could do half of a routine.

A smattering of nonsense now and then isn't harmful. Too much, however, might lead the reader to begin to think that the author is incapable of seriousness.

I had meant to add this to a post either today or yesterday - I added 17 bags of leaves to this fall's total over the weekend. Eight of the seventeen bags I used the new yardworks leaf sucker/mulcher so the leaf to bag ratio was high. It appears that the front yard is complete, all that is left is the back yard. For the back I only plan on suck/mulching the leaves and then dumping the mulched leaves into the wild corner of the yard where they will compost away. So it could be my bag total for this fall stops at 24.

I don't know anything about some of the things I am not aware of. Or should I say that I don't know anything about some of the things of which I am not aware?

I would placate the masses by giving them maple syrup, but that would create a very sticky situation. How many of us would consider ourselves a part of that group - the masses? I do.

I do not think that the measurement of the length between my wrist and elbow are different between my two arms. Yes, I have two arms.

Indicendatlly, I decided to make that measurement and I did confirm that both arms (as measured between wrist and elbow) have a roughly equal measurement of approximatley 25cm.

I do not own a spring/fall jacket. I have gone without a jacket thus far this fall where others have donned their spring/fall jacket now for at least three or four weeks. I occasionaly would wear a sweater on top of my normal working apparel but mostly have not. Yes, I get somewhat cold on the walk from house-to-car and from car-to-work, but never so cold that by the time I get into the warmth of indoors am I in bad shape.

Mind you, it has not really gone below 0C yet.

It was my sister's birthday yesterday. She was born two years after I was.

I think it is about time for me to complete this post.

There are municipal elections in Quebec this Sunday. Every municipality is in the process of deciding who will form the next city council and who will be the next mayor. In my town there is no one running against the incumbent mayor so he will by default continue in that post.

I sent an email to one of the candidates running for my district. His reply was that what I had asked him about should be handled at the federal level. This was a cop-out reply.

G-bot has made it to the B-level for novice hockey this year. Yesterday was his last evaluation practice, he will now be assigned to a team.

C-ling had a rheumatology checkup on Wednesday, all of her JIA affected joints are reduced in swelling and increased in mobility. This shows that the MXT is starting to become effective.

V-8 has shown an interest in climbing the stairs. She is not yet capable as she still tends to fall a significant number of times during the day on flat ground. We will need to install a gate at the bottom of the steps. We won't bother with a gate at the top as she is rarely, if ever, at the top of the stairs by herself.

Maybe I should draw this post to a close.

Silence serves an excellent purpose when one requires silence. Usually there is no noise in a place that is silent.

The Silversun Pickups played in my city last night. I did not go.

Sometimes I wonder what the life is like of a band on tour. This band is playing almost every sequential night in a different city. It sounds exhausting to me to perform late at night after opening acts, pack everything up, sleep somewhere, move on to the next city and repeat.

I have no musical ability so that life is very far from my personal realm.

We are having municipal elections presently with the election taking place on November 1st. No one is running against the incumbent mayor of my town who will by default return to the post for another term. He has been mayor since 1998.

If I had been a little more aware of it, perhaps I would have run against him just to make him work a little bit. I would be the 'Peak Oil-Climate Change' advocate.

Oh well, maybe next time.
