Après le “casse-toi alors pauvre con” lancé à une personne qui refusait de lui serrer la main au Salon de l’Agriculture 2008, Nicolas Sarkozy se voit une nouvelle fois refuser une poignée de main.
Cela s’est déroulé lors de sa visite dans un centre de Formation et d’Apprentissage à Vesoul le 6 mars 2008. Une jeune esthéticienne a refusé de lui serrer la main et s’est même éloignée de lui… sans que Nicolas Sarkozy s’énerve, cette fois.

I just loved the song, but at the same time, didn't understand why the audience went crazy only when she said "And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay?" :)))
Cause it sounded like they didn't give a shit about what she was trying to say about War for exemple, but they only liked the tolerance with Gays....Strange :))

It was a "unusual" situation, quite interresting and funny at the same time !
I think Iran was able to draw a new line in the negociations with the western world, and was able to keep them away from dealing with it's nuclear dossier !

First of all, i believe that even if these british guys were captured within iranian water, they should be blamed, because they didnt ask for permission, of course if Iran is sure that they dont have any "offensive" reason to be there, and i think they don't, as long as they are not holding any massive weapons or spying materials !
But due to the complicated situation of Iran vs the western world, of course we can't expect a "normal way" of dealing with the situation, so they took them as hostages !

But what is funny here, is that the whole world start crying : Innocent guys, they were not in iranian waters, they were just doing their job....blablabla, HOW COULD THEY KNOW ABOUT THAT ?
And of course, our white house friend, was the first to anounce it, but, go and ask him why do you hold more than 300 people in Guantanamo for more than 5 years now, without clear reason and without giving them the right to defenf themselfs, putting aside all the Human Rights conventions, he will tell you that this is an internal affair, and no one but the united states gouvrnment has the right to deal with it !!!!

Then, when the iranian president decided to free the hostages as a "gift" to britain, which i believe was a very good and smart decision, you see the british dude Tony Blair on a very bad situation that he even started saying bullshit :

They were freed "without any deal, without any negotiation, without any side agreement of any nature," Blair said, making a statement outside his London office.

And then you read :

Tony Blair, the British prime minister, welcomed the decision to free the personnel and thanked allies in Europe, the UN Security Council and the Middle East for their help.

WTF ??? :))

Anyway, it's good that the problem was solved the easy way, with no losses on both sides, actually hold on, i think the guys 've got some new suits when they met Ahmadinejad, so may be Iran will bill them to the UK soon :))

This friday, we're going to Paris, for easter holiday !! I'm quite sure it'll be great : meeting some old friends, and hang out with them, plus discovering the city of course, during 3 days ! I can't wait :))
And i think we will meet some people from @ France (MC), and also 2 trainees from Belgium r joining, so if any nomad is arround between 6 and 8 april : Let me know ;)

I think it's been already more than 6 month since i last wrote sthg here :) But it was in fact due to too many things, the last one is that i couldn't blog anymore, since we have had the new version of blogger, but thanks to Dody, everything is ok now, and it should work now!
So, first thing to mention of course, is that i am still in Basel, my internship was over at the end of October 2006, but the company offered me a permanent position, so now, i will be around switzerland for a while :)).
Many friends already left, many new others came, so many things changed, i also moved out from the famous Feldbergstrasse trainee flat, and now i have my own apartment !
We made few trips recently, and have few more starting from easter holiday (in Paris), hopefully, pictures and news will follow soon .

Bref, one more time, i have to keep this blog up to date, can't promise, but i'll just say "inshallah" :)

So, It's already the second day of Ramadan, and i'm already feeling like i'm fasting for ages :)
Saturday night, we had a goodbye party together with a birthday party (both for aiesec interns in zurich), so it was quite cool, lot's of people, lot's of fun. The best part was, arround 4.00am, when we start starving, and most of the people went to sleep, after being so drunk, so Andre (my brasilian flatmate, me, and 2 italians, we went out to zurich downtown, looking for a kebab (turkish fastfood :), It took us quite a while to realise that we dont have any chance of finding a food place open !!!! We had to go back home at 5.00am, and we decided to cook pasta !!!! Of course, me and Andre, we had to chill while our italian friends took care of the Pasta :))) It was so good, especially that i had to hurry before the sun come up, and it was just on time !!
so, woke up the next day, and we went directly back to Basel. Where i had to prepare my meal, and i had a video conference with my family so i could see them breaking fast on LIVE :)) so i kinda had dinner with them :)) I prepared some Rice with chicken + baked potatos, and an omelette, and a salty salad.
Today at work, i was really hungry, especially when everyone left for the lunchbreak and i stayed with my computer.....some people couldnt believe that we can't even drink water, and they were like : bloody hell, that's not healthy, your god is so demanding !!!!
how funny is that ?? :))) At the same time, they know that my god is their god, and if it wasn't hard, there's no point of making it !!!!!
So, finally i managed to leave arround 17h.00, made some shopping and then i start preparing the dinner (again :), it was time for some TAJINE, and pasta with chicken (again :), and i we were 4 people arround the table, Andre, Asia (polish Flatmate), and Sonal (canadian trainee who just arrived 2 days ago). It was good to know that my Tajine was appreciated :)) (like usually) And then, the usual conversations about Ramadan, why is that, and how do you feel, and blablabla :))
Anyway, we had a good time, especially that it's raining outside, and we were so full that we couldnt even move to the living room :)
Conclusion : So far so good, im still able to keep the good mood and the smile (yeah, especially that i've got my job contract on friday, and im really happy because of that).
Will try to find out how/when can i join for prayers in the mosques here in Basel, probably during the second half/last 10 days of Ramadan, to feel the event !!!!
Gotta go and get some sweets now :)

The thing I love the most about Ramadan - Ramadan is unique, in a way that everything looks different : Working hours, sleep, dinner time, prayers, going out, shops openings, people's mood, the smile everywhere, smell of food when u're starving. The modesty and love that you see ALMOST everywhere...! It's definetly the month that breaks the routine ! My favourite time of the year !

The hardest/most annoying thing about Ramadan – When i'm fasting, and i see/meet people doing their best to behave/show that they dont give a shit about it, in so many different ways. And i just can't react because one of the golden rules : Dont stress or panic, and say : "God ! Im fasting", on a way that you dont loose your good mood.
The other hard thing, is being away from my family and home country for the fourth year now...things are really different there !!!

What I want to get out of Ramadan this year – Be finally able to fast/behave/pray as required, during the whole month. And that's not an easy thing to achieve ! it might take me long time untill i get there !

My best Ramadan memory – Certainely there are so many good memories : Family gathering, Friend's meetings, the Eid preparations, getting out of school early :)) But i think the best part of it, is when i feel that i'm doing something that i really like and respect : sthg that makes me feel closer to god ! And that's a big achievement for me.

I brought a shisha from home, 2 weeks ago, and this was the first time i smoke it here in Basel. I wish i could find more PLAYERs :) Cause its not fun to smoke it alone! Most of people are afraid to try it here, or maybe they think it contain Drugs or sthg !!... My new brasilian/danish roomate is a non-smocker (me neither :D), so i think i better quit and leave it just for decoration, or for some CURIOUS visitors :)

Vacation time is Over...

Vacation time is over, and here i'am in Basel again...I spent the last 2 days sleeping : kinda recovering a little bit before going back to work tomorrow morning.
I wish i could stay longer, so at least i got to see all my friends...but 1 week is so short, and i need to plan longer vacation next time.
We celebrated the engagement of my sister with her fiance, it was a LAST MINUTE decision, since i was in town, and he will also fly the next day to canada. So, that's what made me busy most of the time. The weather wasn't that great and i got sick already because if the climat change, (from 7 degrees here in basel to almost 27 :)
but it was windy and a little cold at night.
Anyway, it was great to see the whole family at least, have some rest, and also since i flew to Monastir Airport this time, it was soooo cool and so easy to pass through the douane, police control and bagage claim, since i almost know everybody there, and people are so friendly. It took me less than 30 minutes to check in, go through the police control, go to the freeshop (where i found an old classmate friend of mine in the counter, and he gave me a welcome gift :) and then boarding...My place was the 1F, near the window, and none on my left side, so i could enjoy watching Monastir and relaxing in the free space :) So far it was the best flight ever :)
I should be back there sometime during the summer so i can enjoy "ESSIF" at least for a while.

One of the best cars in Geneva Motor Show 2006, After Detroit last year, i had to go and check what are they up to :)
The funny thing was, this guy working with Michelin, when me & Walid start talking about how good Michelin is, since they paid us back our tickets for Indianaplis F1 (last june), the guy was very engaged to explain that security and bla bla bla was the reason why Michelin decided not to let her cars in the competetion, and loose a lot of money...Well, we told him : doesnt matter, thanks for offering us a free 6 cars race, and we would appreciate if u could re-embourse us the Hotel that we paid that night also : Get out of here :))

Flying Home this monday, to celebrate the Aid with the family. Im so happy to be back for more than 2 days stay :) So at least i can meet all my family members and of course my friends. Another good point here, is that im really tired after working 2 months at Novartis : never though it will be that busy, especiallay when u know what kind of job i use to have :)).
So, its time to enjoy good food, good company, relax, have fun....and then get back to work on wednesday Jan 18th....

Well Well Well, i dont know from where to start, but i will just summurize.
I am finally in Basel - Switzerland, again for another experience, (i can't stop:)
last 2 weeks were just crasy.......From the time i left St Louis on October 10th, i went to Miami to stay with the other trainees (supposly a vacation :), we had fun in the beginning, then WILMA was approching, and everybody start being ready to evacuate or to leave ASAP, and what a feeling :)), We decided to stay home since they said that its gonna be level 1, but then, suddently, WE HAD TO LEAVE, the hurricane is LEVEL 3 and could be dangerous, we decided to drive to JACKSONVILLE, FL on sunday afternoon, 6 hours drive,we got there arround 07.00pm.
convergy's paid the hotel and gas and fod and stuff, i stayed for 5 days, and then i went back to miami with JO and Ally on theit truck , as soon as i got an email from aiesec in switzerland, telling me that my visa was ready in Washington DC.
i was suprprised when i saw trees on the road, no electricity, carfew at 11pm, no fresh food, nothing......what the hell???
i stayed 2 more days then i flew to washington, where i got my swiss visa and i spent the day with my friend SAFIA (tunisian trainee, she was in SAN JOSE, CA) we've been arround all the city, and i had to hurry to get in DULLES airport,but i was late eventhough i paid 55$ (cab)...:S i hate that :)))anyway, i get in the next flight, and i arrived at LAGUARDIA airport at 11pm, took the bus to manhattan and landed at Jill's Place after midnight....next day, discovering NEW YORK (no comments:)) on wednesday , i had my interview for canadian GREEN CARD, and i got it :)) yeah....so i spent the rest of the day walking arround, then i went to AIESEC US office were i met some great PEOPLE, SUZANNE (ex MCP) and DONNA, were so helpful that they decided to go with me till i enter the train :)) yeah, thanks to that, i was on time and didnt miss it again.
the thing is, when i bought my ticket : miami- new york, then New york - St Louis (through chicago), i didnt know that i have to go to washington, so when i called to change the itenerary, the lady said that i have to pay 250$ fee, then i told her : forget about that, i will cancel the first one, and take the second one, i didnt ask for my money back cause i know that i wont get them anyway.....so when i arrived at NEWARK airport, i was SHOCKED after the lady told me that my ticket was cancelled in total and i have to buy a new one !!!!!!!!!!!! and also the connection from chicago to st louis wont be possible anyway cause they plane is gonna leave late... what a disaster, i almost did sthg stupid , couldnt bellieve that especially that i had to leave at 0900am next morning from st louis to tunisia !!!!!!!
so i bought again the same ticket but from NY TO CHICAGO, and for 240$ one way !!!!!landed in chicago at 11h30, then i had no choice that renting a car in chicago at midnight, and drive all the way down to St Louis, till 05.00 am (when i got there), i bearly put my luggage, slept for like an hour, then organized my luggage again, left to St Louis Lambert Airport, again to chicago, then to Frankfurt, where i met SAFIA, we arrived arround 07-00am, safia had her plane to tunsia at 12h45 (with tunisiar) and mine was at 22h25(lufthansa), so i went with her just to ckeck, and what a surprise !!!! they flight manager said that i can fly with them cause the plane is kinda empty, so he called to swith y luggage there, and get in the plane SO HAPPY that i will finally arrive home early, instead of spending 10 more hours sleeping on a chair in the terminal 1.
we arrived in tunis arround 15h00,and ...surprise...me and safia were missing 1 luggage each, we were waiting for like an hour,finally we filed a claim, and went home, i was almost dead : didnt sleep for 2 days.....
i went back to the airport at night and my bag didnt come in yet...what a shit....
went back to monastir, where i met my family and friends for a very short period of time, coz i had to leave on sunday night to BASEL through FRANKFURT again.
My cousin who work in the airport did a very good job coz he almost called everywhere to get me my luggage like few hours before i leave to switzerland, i am so grateful cause all my winter clothers were in that luggage :))) i couldnt imagine buying everything from the beginning, and where ?? in switzerland : hell no !!!!!!
So, i left again, and after few hours transit in frankfurt, i landed in BASEL, and started my new chapter, will get back with more details soooooon. ;)

How can i describe this trip ? : amazing ? unique ? great ? fucking great? i think the last one is perfect :D
Well, it was only for 4 days, but enought to discover the other part of America : Las Vegas Casinos and Californian Dream....

Me, Amine, Chaker and Ahmed, we finally decided to go arround the WEST coast : Flight early thursday morning from St Louis to Las Vegas, spend the whole day there, and then the next day, drive from Vegas to San Francisco, Ahmed missed this one cause he wanted to see his friend in LA, so we stopped by San Jose to pick up another Traveller : Safia, from tunisia too :)) we checked in the hotel, at union square : downtown S.F,and then we went out to party : amazing city, amazing people : great atmosphere, i wish my Traineeship was there : i missed the crowd, the people hanging out everywhere late at night, people drunk, happy...ACTION !!!!! that's what we are missing in St Louis, combined with the beauty of the ocean and bridges : i won't find a better place to live !!!! anyway, the next day in the morning we had the chance to visit the Alcatraz Island with it's famous Prison, i was so excited to see the jail from inside, it's a very special feeling cause i finally made ii...Back to S.F downtown, we won't miss the Golden Gate Bridge, we drove there and then had a walk, just to enjoy :))) eventhough it was strange to go one way for free and then pay 5 bucks to go back !!!!!!!! We choosed a mexican restaurent for lunch and then back in the road again, this time : destination Los Angeles, we made it arround 21h.00 where Ahmed and His friend Anis who live there, were waiting for us, they showed us the Hotel, where we get some rest and then : Partyyyyyyyyyyyy again in Downtown L.A and then Hollywood : i'll skip this one because needless to say that it was great and bla bla bla, since everybody agree about that :) But just wanted to mention that the Action was even more than what we excpected in LA : Police cars running arround the city with Sirenes and Lights on, and Helicopter with projector chasing criminal or thief or maybe a STAR :)) made me feel like in a movie :)))
Venice beach made my day on sunday morning : since i didnt swimm in the sea during the past 2 years, the ocean was enought to provide me full satisfaction and even more :) another walk in Hollywood Blvd to end the Visit to L.A, and then, we had to leave ASAP to catch our plane in Las Vegas, so we made it between LA and SF in 3 hours and while we dropped Ahmed and Amine at the terminal to check in, me and chaker returned the car to Alamo's stand that was far away from the airport. Big Surprise was waiting for us when we came back , about 30 min before the flight schedule, we were told that it was too late and we cannot register, so we have to take the next flight.............5 days later on THURSDAY !!!!! We spoke to the manager, officers, almost everybody and we got the same answer : No chance !!! we almost start crying cause i even didnt take a shower yet after swimming in the morning, and i had to be at work the next day at 09.00am, and of course i dont wanna pay damn 200$ for another plane ticket !!!!!!anyway, i dont know how did that happen, but , like 10 min before the flight started, we were told that the general manager of that company agreed that we can be on board !!!!!
Registration, Security, luggage check, ticket verification, seat occupation : all that in 10 min, my god !!!!finally we made it to St Louis, and what we still have : memories of great time, and of course pictures , that you can find just by clicking here

Voila, c'est dimanche, il fait trop chaud a l'exterieur, j'ai termine le boulot a 13h30, et koi faire donc, a part etre connecte sur internet biensur : Preparer quelque chose a manger, c'etait un defit entre moi et Zuzanna, tous les 2 on praparaient des trucs pareils : du riz, et la viande du boeuf !!! Y'avait une autre personne qui m'encouragait en direct de la tunisie par webcam :) et finalement, voila le resultat : un bon ptit plat TRES PIQUANT (oh yeah), mais mmmmmmmmm que c delicieux :) Aya bismellah !!
