He can watch the robot fighting, but when it appears is is startling and he knows when it is about to happen, so he hides. Also, Xander only watched Monsters Inc once because it was too scary.Tinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16215584799547299598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10329221.post-1123868888375510742005-08-12T12:48:00.000-05:002005-08-12T12:48:00.000-05:00Er ... just as well that you left before Varuka ma...Er ... just as well that you left before Varuka made it anywhere NEAR the garbage chute. At least, for Xander's sake. Those squirrels were very numerous, very realistic, and a little creepy even for me (closeup on black beady eyes and chittering teeth) ... probably one of the more intense parts of a movie that WAS a little to scary and intense for very young kids, at least in certain parts.

Actaully, I have friends who say they were traumatized when young by the original Willy Wonka movie. Daniel seemed to make it though that one okay, but I think I watched it with him and skipped past a few scenes, such as the boat tunnel. I have faint memories of being uncomfortable as a kid with the slow, steady rise into a spinning fan in the Fizzy Lifting drink scene (which, as a addition for the original movie, wasn't in the Burton version).

I don't know if Daniel could even make it though the Incredibles now. Robots are "scary" ever since we tried to watch the Iron Giant.

Keep up the great blogging!Michaelnoreply@blogger.com
