I am sure you mean FUN bridge, after all, what fun is a bridge that actually has traffic on it? Or, maybe the bridge will be built in the shape of a FIN, maybe to honor some fish that we don't care about, that oughta be extinct anyway and will be if we start drilling in Alaska. Perhaps you mean FAN, in that the bridge will make lots of fans for the pork politicians when they hand out the contracts.

As far as your saying No, remember how politicians think. If they say Yes, they mean Maybe. If they say Maybe, they mean No. if they say No, they're not politicians. Similarly, politicians also believe, before they screw the public, if she says No, she means Maybe..... and so on.... So, welcome to the world where NO means YES.

Thanks for the kind words about the blog. Good luck with a Bridge that actually lets you go somewhere... Please do tell your friends about the blog!

Imran
http://imran.comImran Anwarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919552891874811342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10248241.post-1132326933498684232005-11-18T10:15:00.000-05:002005-11-18T10:15:00.000-05:00Hey Imran,I just want to tell you about that f'n b...Hey Imran,
I just want to tell you about that f'n bridge to nowhere. I happen to live here where they want that bridge. It's actually TWO bridges, but it doesn't matter; we here in town voted "NO" resouondingly to studies, more studies, and to the bridges themselves. We Said NO! Of course, they're going to try to do it anyway.....

We wouldn't mind at all having a nice bridge (1) on the back of the island to connect us to the MAINLAND, but of course THAT won't even be considered. The bridge is for the SOLE purpose of enriching landowners on the other islands. Only a FEW landowners. They bought the land KNOWING there was no road access, but hoped for the future.

**sigh** I DO like your blog. Will be around more often. Thanks for listening.helynn heelshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14935976566875500831noreply@blogger.com
