Airbrush Makeup

As we enter into the warmer months Makeup seems to be a big issue with many brides. I know many of you have heard about Airbrush Makeup but for those who have not. It's a great alternative to long lasting makeup in more extreme conditions. My friend and fellow artist Tracey Taylor and I went to Los Cabos Mexico last summer for a wedding and we used airbrush makeup on everyone and it it was late June. By the end of the evening they still looked great! In fact one of the Grandmas slept with her makeup on she loved it so much, although I don't reccommend not washing your face.
Anyway, as your artist if she airbrushes makeup and remember it is supposed to look natural.

I have not written in a long time. But I have been busy with all sorts of projects. I'm working on a TV show called The Megan Mullaly show. I have been doing about 2 weddings a month and everthing is going well.

Dear Brides,
I love a flawless face on a bride. Depending on what time of year your getting married you will want to carefully consider what type of foundation you will be using.
If you get married during colder months you will tend to go heavier on foudation and lighter in the warmer months.
Whatever your personal style just make sure you have to right shade, texture, blended evenly and it lasts all day.
You can even mix a creamy foundation with a sheer one to get different coverages on the face where you need it most.
Moisturize!!!!!

Dear Future Brides,
I know you haven't heard from me in a while. I finally had a chance to go on Vacation. We went to Las Vegas for a couple of days and ended out trip in Williams, AZ where you can catch a train to the Grand Canyon for the day or stay over night. I highly recommend it.
Anyway, on my journey I noticed that my skin was more dry and itchy. The time of year is changing and although it's not as severe as the East Coast it's still very important to change your skincare levels. If you're normal to dry you may want to use something with more moisture for the next few months. What worked in the summer may not work for the Winter. Yes, even California winters.

Perfect Lips

Dear Brides to be,
One of the concerns I get from Brides is they just want their lipstick to last as long as possible. We all know that it's not going to stay on all day and look fresh without a little touch up.
So here are a few tips that will help you on your wedding day or any day.
Step 1: Keep your lips moist by exfoliating once every couple of weeks and smooth on lip balm throughout the day. One of my favorite products is Rosebud Salve it has been around for many years. Choose one that you like.
Step 2: Line your lips all throughout the lips that will help your color stay on long lasting.
Step 3: Apply lipstick throughout and blot and reapply 2 times.
That should do the trick!!!

Summer Brides

Dear Brides,
Summer is definitely here and the question I get asked most often is, How can I get my makeup to stay on in the heat? Fortunately, most weddings take place in the later part of the afternoon or by the ocean.
I recommend preparing the skin using a toner to tighten the pores first, and an oil free moisturizer even if your skin is dry. I always use a foundation primer and a product called "Stop Shining" by Make Up Forever, although there are several companies that make their version.
As far as makeup textures, well that's up to you. There are ways to lessen the shine. The most important thing to do is take your photos while you’re at your freshest, and then have a good time don't worry too much about the little things.
